Creating avitars

first off I checked the other avatar questions and they dont appear to be the same problem

So recently I've been granted access to mess with the user CP, which is great and all however I've encountered a problem with the create avatar section

Just where is the upload option? All is see is the option to have no Avi

you don't have access to that yet, your status is still newbi. when your status becomes "active user" you will have the ability to add a custom avatar.

but how come I didnt just keep getting that

"Undisclosed, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?"
I'm sure thats what I was getting before

some things changed on the back side of the board to give users limited access to there control panel so that they can add some personal data. however the avatar remains locked because they take up a lot of room on the server, so its a way of helping to make sure that only serious users upload avatar files.

I know that it wouldn't seam like they would take much space, but they really do add up.

I'm not disagreeing with it or anything it was just the whole "restricted access" message dissapearing caught me off gaurd

Thought i'd just ask something else while we are on the subject of "newbi limitations".
Being a noob i have no idea how it works so i'll ask...how does reputation work...how do you get it....and how does it build up...i noticed i have 11 points or something :S.

NO...it can't be!....why even once you an active member can't you use the arcade! WHY!!! You ahve to wait another 15 Days!!!
