I was informed a magic post number, i was guessing in the thousands, was needed for full member ship. And yet i see some one with just 18 posts. So can somone clarify please?

I used to run a forum myself as 2nd administrator and I know how this works now.
1st) Any admin can over ride the magic number for a specific member. This is especially useful if the member happens to be one that an admin or global moderator knows in person.
2nd) Also has something to do with groups (there's a technical name for this, I forget what it is, been long since I ran the fur haven forum.). Some groups have specific masks applied...as members, all we see are the permissions mask. Some members may be shown as members (in disguise) ...But could actually be a moderator/global mod/admin/etc. They would obviously be exempt from the magic #.
3rd) There may not be a magic number at all. The admins/global mods/mods probably remove us from the restricted users group/Permissions mask as our participation goes up...
4th) It may not be a post number at all...But a date/number of days since we last joined. I've seen a pattern in the join date and those who have/lack avatars. Perhaps its a week, 2weeks, month, year...Only the admins and their posse know this. So hang around for awhile and avoid spamming.
5th) I'm a magician and I'm a master illusionist! <-- Wait, what does that have to do with the magic number?
6th) Well, if you can't use an avatar...You can always post an image into every post (at the top or bottom) like this:

This is just a sample taken from the top...This is not my real avatar. XD

Okay so it's untill i am deemed fit. Fair enough. Still, when it was quoted as a 'number' i went to post as much as i could. Thus, i have made an ass of myself. I thought to do that, then shut up for about a month, come back as my assiness blew over. You do realise how much i've screwed myself over from this misconception, right?

Just get a good reputation...Be friends with everybody...And try to participate in many of the sub forums. Try to strike a balance between hiding in the shadows and hogging all the attention. I know...I'm guilty of the latter...But then again...Almost all of us yearn for attention and to be loved.
Perhaps a compromise in order:
If you're going to be an attention hog...Then make sure you give everyone else attention...Especially the new comers...Us newcomers loved to be stormed by the entire community with greetings, pawshakes, hugs, licks...*giggles*
Makes us feel like we mean something. Makes us feel welcomed.
Blast...I gotta quit babbling on...Rex...Lay off the coffee dang you!
*Smacks myself in the forehead with my paw.*
