Okay, I don't think this was made yet, but which web browser do you use? I use Opera. And something's telling me to expect most people who respond are using Firefox. :\

I use Firefox :D
Safari ought to be on the list, too, though - it's another popular one.

I just use Firefox just because it has simple interface and shortcuts..
it rarely crashes on me.

Well that's why I have the "other" section, so people can click that if they don't have one listed.

Last poll I saw like this, there were well over 100 votes (and a small flamewar), and Opera and Safari had around the same number of votes.. 'Tis the reason I said that.

Firefox and I am desperately searching for an alternative. I've never seen a more memory hungry browser... The only thing keeping me from internet explorer is that I just don't like the layout of IE7 but still want tabbed browsing...
I need to download the new Opera browser, supposed to be really good... You forgot to include Safari though, as it does happen to be one of the major browsers.
Although, I do like Lynx as well, very fast and easy to use, the lack of pictures is a bit annoying but for just cruising the net it works.
And real nerds don't use Firefox, or Safari, or IE, they use "telnet www.google.com:80" XP

They've got Opera for Linux, too (I kinda removed Firefox and put in Opera when I started dual-booting)

I use Avant Browser mostly. I feel like I'm the only one who uses it, but I love it. Used it for two years now.
I also use Firefox too, it depends on what I'm doing, to be honest.

Firefox is a better browser than Internet Explorer [IE] (not only is it named after an animal !) it is more secure in terms of caching and cookie logging; but it lacks some features which Internet Explorer has. For example if u are attempting to update windows u will need to configure firefox to enable IE capability and/or legacy mode.
Also Firefox is limited in support for Ajax and DOM - so u may have to download Javascript updates as they are not loaded by default.
Personally i use Opera

'Course, that assumes you use Windows in the first place...

I use Firefox because I like that it reopens your previous session if you have to restart. Although I never tried Opera...

Has anyone else hacked the Icon to make it more yiffy?
I remember having fun with Netscape since you could override the graphic.

I have three browsers on my computer (not counting IE), and by far my favorite is Maxthon. I always use it and I can't use anything else. I've become to accustomed to being able to drag a link to open it in a new tab and I get pissed when other browsers don't have that feature.

somehow i know only IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari, excluding some combinations for safe browsing like OperaTor or such things
firefox is by far my personal number one, though I'm propably gonna check out Dim's Maxthon, since it sounds interesting

I do enjoy Firefox 3.0 for those of you who were unaware of the update. I love the smartbar, especially for pictures and websites I cannot remember. simply type out the name or subject matter, and bam your given the list of websites you visited with that either in the name or title and so on. as well as on my home computer i finally snuck it into there, my family is full of AOL users, and with a teacher in the mix it only makes it all the more slower with the amounts of files she has to put on the computer. anyway it usually took a long time not only to load up but to even display the websites, when i put firefox on and gave that a try BAM it was twice as fast, still slow but noticeably faster, the tab feature is a bit easier to handle than before, I tend to use that alot more than new windows, but the whole ideas that firefox puts in even in the customization I just simply enjoy.

One of my friends absolutely swears by this Google Chrome dealie, and I can see why - its sandboxed approach is pretty interesting, and got me out of a few hairy situations when I was trying it out. Just not ready to make the switch from Firefox yet I guess.

I hope you and your friend know that the Google Chrome Webbrowser was designed to gather as much data from the user as possible
the primary thought of this data gathering by google is for customized advertizing, e.g. if you have a preference for viagra and you browse a lot searching for it, the ads shown will more porpably have also viagra-advertisements
after all, google is responsible for about 80% of all advertisements placed in the WWW
be aware of it

Firefox. ... Once I started using it I couldn't really stop.
It doesn't drag down one's system as much as some of the others. I used Opera a while back and it seemed to like to eat more resources than IE or Firefox. ... But I like Firefox overall because it was coded to be more universal in its HTML/CSS parsing. It will display things a lot better than IE, though Microsoft might be attempting to get back up to par in the coming versions. *Shrugs.*
Who can pass up a flaming fox anyway? Oh! And you should all love this if you have yet to see it... it's funny:

Yeah, most people do seem to use FireFox. Hardly anyone uses Chrome anymore, heh. For about a week, it was amazing, and now Google's web browser isn't something commonly used.
Anyway, I didn't get onto FireFox until Version 2, but I like its layout and wish I'd found it earlier.

I've officially switched to Google Chrome. Firefox started crashing on me a while back. Then I saw Google Chrome, so I tried it. Though I'm aware of its nature, it does work fast. Plus, I love the setup. Having all your most commonly visited sites laid out for you (Looks like the Wii start-up screen, lol) is very convenient.

Only reason I don't use Firefox anymore is because Opera isn't as bloated. Which is a great thing on Vista (though with 4GB of RAM, I don't really notice it).
And I'm still sticking to my theory that you all only use Firefox because it has "fox" in its name. Damn furries.

I'm using Firefox 2, at least until someone makes a decent browser for Haiku (http://haiku-os.org/).
Yeah, that's kind of a lie, since I'm actually running Windows most of the time. But that's only because my computer has nasty crappy propriatary SiS parts, which have no support by genuinely good OSes.
Also, that was a shameless plug for Haiku. :P
'Cause I'm going to be representing them in this year's SCaLE 7x. Yay!

i usualy use explorer, though i don't know why.... when explorer is failing, firefox ALWAYS saves the day!! :P
i should consider using that as default ;)
though, when i'm just about to play video-games (which is quite often), i just use my PS3s browser (like now)
that never fails me either, and the sites I visit it doesn't have any issues showing ;)
and then i can chat with my friends at the same time, quite handy :P
