Differnt type of RP

Now this is not going to be what you think it's going to be. I am not going to sugest that we split up the yiff into gay, bi, les, strait. In fact, I want to leave the yiff section totaly alone.

No, what I want to sugest is a make-over of the non-yiff and parts of the yiff section. There arn't that many non-yiff threads, but stragely, there are a good amount of non-yiffing goining on if yiff. These would be the RP's that have charecter sheats, long post, and storylines going on between multiple furs.

What I think would be good is if we could have an "Epic RP" section. Yiff is not banned, but instead is reconised as a small part of the overall story. This would allow those of us who want to RP seriously to do so. Noting against the Yiff section, but it can quickly deteriate into post of two or three senteces. An Epic section would give a clear line between cyberyiffing and stories with yiffing in them.

So what do you say, does an "Epic" section make sense?

I think if there was a specific way you wanted your RP's, then you should create your own, with your own expectations, what you want, and what you don't want. If the OP doesn't care, and it's his/her RP, then you pretty much have to either suck it up if it get's crapped up or move on to another RP.

Well see I agree with Idesin. If you are in a combat rp with lots of gore it is put into the yiff section do to the nature. The downsides is if someone is trying to find your combat rp is they must go through ungodly amounts of yiff to find it. I do believe we need a section for the rps that aren't your everyday yiifs. Allowing to have more combat and anime type rps without the hassle of wading through pure yiff rps. A fur goes to the "epic" section they know that yiff is a secondary event if that, allowing for more story lines and better quality and quantity of posts. I do believe this idea should be looked into further. You cant have a great combat based rp in the non yiff do to gore constraints, in fact with this new section i cant see a down side to it. Yiff isn't banned but is more of event then basis of a story. I like it rather a lot and would ask that this is further taken into consideration.

Yeah, I totall agree with you and with darkreaper. I've some RP's in which yiff was kept to three or four posts and really fitted in with the amazing story line. These kind of RP's are usually the best, and totally deserve their own section.

I also agree with Idesin, and not just because he always has cookies. The Epic RP section does make a good deal of sense, and would allow RP'ers who enjoy a solid story more than random sex to feel right at home. I've also been in a few really good Rp's where the story was incredible but there was one or two people trying to fit in a yiff scene of somekind and killed the whole thread. So yes, I support the Epic Thread Movement.

I agree entirely. It makes it alot easier when you don't have to wade through the huge amount of Yiff threads we have going. There's people who enjoy just a more actiony RP without necessarily having yiff.

If this were to go through, I would suggest that people put a (Yiff/No Yiff) tag on the rp so people would know if it's allowed or not.

The notion of an "Epic" RP does sound noteworthy, and does merit some consideration. I can only hope that something productive will come from the inception of such a form of thread.

Ello popping in from the yiff section where I seem to be chained. In the name of everything that is holy and some of the bad stuff we love anyway this seems like a good idea, easily found rps that have a chance of going on for a decent while would warrent their own little haven.

I may be new here but this seems like a very good idea. From what I've seen there are very good "epic" RPs in the yiff section but it was already said you have to really look for them or you won't be able to find them. Not to say I haven't seen some good RPs that where basied around yiff but agian I do think that this is a very good idea.

I will personally volunteer to be a mod for this new section. I know it will be a lot of work, but it is everything that is right for the rpers. I will take a hold of the torch and give my self to the rpers. Act as a pseudo mod if you will.

*rolls eyes* Not to be offensive darkreaper, but we don't need a 'sacrifice' like that. We have more than enough mods and andmins, and i'm a mod now too. But thank you. I just hope Dael tells me when he sets it up so I know when to watch it >.<

I don't like this idea.

Reason why is: How do you moderate it? If someone goes in there posting a post of their own and it's not 'epic' enough, what do you say? Leave it alone? Tell them they are not good enough? That would be impossible to moderate without hurting people's feelings and I would say no to this idea because of that.

I've seen a lot of furs post in the yiff section with their epic RPs... And never have yiff, except for maybe kissing and a little gropage, but barely any. So I would assume it's ok in my opinion.

We aren't going to delete a post or move it from the yiff section to the non-yiff section if there isn't yiff in people's stories. We aren't that stingy :)
