gallery? i suck

i'd like for someone to explain how to use the gallery. I'm pretty new to this forum layout, haven't used it much. I'm not dumb, if that gives you any encouragement to reply :)

Well it should be pretty straight forward, some post small thumbnails that go into the larger image from an off site. Others will use the attachment option given by the boards itself. Then there is the direct posting of the picture as long as it is within the 500x500 rules.
