RP - Request Section

I was just thinking that it might be a good idea to have a section where people could, you know, post about themselves, what they like to Rp, what they Rp, what they expect of the Rp, the back ground story. It also helps one to filter out those that they might not want to Rp with otherwise. I-I'm sorry, I just don't like the randomness of the open 'First to come' threads. S-so, maybe we could put a section for requests? -Pokes the tips of her index fingers together.-

it would certainly help a lot of things instead of just letting threads dissipate into nothingness. To see how many Furs in general would be interested in the topic if any at all.
I'm just sad that i didn't think of that first.

Hmm, seems like a good Idea to post my thoughts on future Rpes.

Alright, I had an interesting Idea for an Rp, possibly one that's on going but not so far into plot ((Since we all know Rpes don't get finished)).

I still don't have it down, but I will start coming up with some unique Ideas.

Furry Personals are used for what you described -- Furry Personals can be Personal RP characters or just Personal IRL. Also, the labeling of what you like is probably best done in your signature, too.

Well, I think I got an idea. A good thing to add in a sig is a profile from this site: http://rh.greydawn.net/index.php. You can list kinks and preference. Or, a thread where people can requrest things and try them out before they have to comit to a partner who may not like what they do.

If you do not provide feed back, I cannot address the issue -- It's as simple as that. If all you say is "Oh....." That is sarcastic and could be seen as condescending, especially if you say "I had the same thought...."

If you were going to say "Oh okay Rrruff, thanks for the idea." Then that would be a little better for feedback; I'd know that I had answered your question correctly.

Idesin, that is a good idea, also, they have a rabbithole or something, I've seen it before but I can't remember the exact name of it.

And for the people who do not want to use signatures, they can post in the furry personal -- I gave an option for that, did you not see it?

Can i say something? If you want better feedback, i think i'd like to throw in my two cents on the matter.

I think that the Furry Personals area is more for...You know, Real Personals, for real people, not for Rp characters...It may benefit alot of Rper's to have a separate Character area set up, even if its just a Sub forum set up under yiffy/non yiffy roleplay.

I can take this into the admin section and add it and see what the other's think. I am not one t make decisions really on my own, but I personally think more sections is not what F2F really needs -- If you do understand what I am saying about every little detail we all can think of -- then adding a new section to appease it. :)

Usually characters are setup in signatures or entry post, but I can see how a PM would come your way if someone sees "Hey look, a muscular character that loves to be a dom... mmm I want some of them!" ;)

Well the PM thing is what would happen if you made a 'character sheet' of all your characters.

I actually think this is a very good idea.
Not only would it be good to advertise your characters and look for other characters you may be compatible with... But it would also be good for RPG signups.

As it stands there doesn't seem to be any kind of staging area for roleplay. I've spoken to a few people and they seem to all agree that this forum seems to thrive mostly on RP. So it just follows that some more energy would go toward that end.

The RP forums we have are... well, woeful in my opinion. Unless you actually PM someone or befriend someone and arrange an RP that way, the only way to start a game is to post and wait for someone to post back. You can't guarantee a decent level of skill when you wait for someone random like that. And with the speed these one-on-one games go, a simple thread could get lost very quickly. Having some kind of staging area would allow for a lot of things. Finding good players, getting a head-count of how many players would want to be in your game, and getting the idea in the open before it's eaten up by the rest of the forum. If that makes sense?

It'd be the most reliable way to do this, and satisfy a lot of RolePlay needs.

And maybe you are right and having character sheets in your sig is a good idea. If you have one character. I have 30 or more, I can't do that. Not everyone wants to go around showing off their characters like that. And what's stopping some horny little n00b from seeing it and believing it gives him license to PM that person expecting immediate yiff and RP? That's already a huge problem here, there's no need making it worse.

Idesin's site IS a good plan, and could be used in conjunction with the RP Personals. But I doubt everyone would go for it. Great suggestion, one that I might use myself. But still, not for everyone.

Thinking more about it, maybe it would be better to just have a general RPG discussion forum? That way you could advertise for players for games, show case your characters, and talk about all things RolePlay. There doesn't seem to be a good enough place to put RP questions on the board, maybe it's time there was?
