The IRC channel has a java client to directly connect to it.
http://chat.anthrochat.net/
Type in #f2f for the channel, make your nickname and you're good to go.

Now if you want to use mIRC:

I have set one up to use; moderators and admins will have op of this channel at the beginning, and as it grows, if people are regulars there and have proven to be helpful will be given operator to help keep things intact on mIRC F2F~

Directions are as follows:

(Detailed steps and pictures. If you cannot see the pictures, right click them and save as. Then you can open them on your computer and zoom-in as far as you want).

1. Download mIRC (http://www.efnet.org/clients/win32/mirc/mirc63.exe)

2. Install it.

3. After the installation, it will ask you to register; don't worry about, just hit continue.

4. The first time you run mIRC, it will force your "mIRC Options" to open (if you have mIRC already installed, you won't get that so you have to click the picture that looks like a hammer and a folder. It should be the second option from the left right by the connect/disconnect button).

****I've personally made instructions so that you of whom are dumbasses may be able to fill this out correctly. Fear My Art-Directions (http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b278/DarkenWolfen/mIRC%20help/?action=view&current=mIRCoptions.jpg)

5. After you have filled in your information, click the "Server" option under Connect (the option below the one you're on now).

6. Click "Add" button on your right.

7.
Description: F2F mIRC
IRC Server: lion.anthrochat.net (*SPECIAL NOTE: You can use irc.anthrochat.net as well. Use this server if lion.anthrochat.net is down*)
Port: 6667
Leave the rest Blank and hit OK.

8. After you click OK, you will have to select the server in that list it gives you. It's usually at the bottom and NOT in a folder. So, scroll down and select it. Then click Select.

9. Click Options (Just under the servers part)

10. Leave all those checks checked (keep it default)

11. Click Perform

12. Type in: /join #F2F

13. Click the "Enable Perform on Connect" box and make sure it's checked on the top of that Perform Screen.

13. Click OK (We will be going back to this later). Click here for a screenshot. Save Target As if you can't read it (http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b278/DarkenWolfen/mIRC%20help/?action=view&current=mIRCOptions3.jpg)

14. Click the "Connect" button on the top left hand corner (the lightning bolt button next to the options button we were at)

15. Exit out of that channel list it gives you. You are now in the channel.

16. YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO BECOME A REGULAR IN THE CHANNEL SO LISTEN UP!

17. Type this into the textarea in either F2F channel or AnthroChat (yournamehere) tab (the first tab):

/msg NickServ REGISTER yourpassword youremail
SCREENSHOT of this (http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b278/DarkenWolfen/mIRC%20help/?action=view&current=mIRCOptions4.jpg)

(It should pop a tab up saying you're now in a private message with NickServe, so if you want you can leave out the /msg and just type what I tell you in that chat-area). Screenshot of this (http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b278/DarkenWolfen/mIRC%20help/?action=view&current=Options5.jpg)

18. Open up your e-mail and get the passcode from there. It should look something like this. (http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b278/DarkenWolfen/mIRC%20help/?action=view&current=mIRCOptions6.jpg)

19. Copy the command line they give you (without the quotes) and put it into the channel (any channel)

20. You should hear a couple beeping sounds.

21. Now, click the Edit(Options) again (hammer and folder)

22. Go back to the Options selection and click the Perform box again.

23. Type all this into the perform box, above the /join #F2F

/msg nickserv ghost yourusername yourpassword
/nick yourusername
/msg nickserv IDENTIFY yourusername yourpassword
/msg nickserv GROUP yourusername yourpassword

**Remember, that "yourusername" = Your F2F name, which mine would be Rrruff

**Remember, that "yourpassword" is the password you used way back before the e-mail step.

If you have problems, post them in the GENERAL FURRY LIFE forum sticky (http://www.furry-furry.com/furry/showthread.php?t=45936) and I will take a look at what your problem is. I do not have everything setup just yet, so just give me some time and I'll get it up and running perfectly; however, for now, you are able to connect and talk in there.

Enjoy~

If you like it, then download mIRC because it is much better to use it if you're going to be an avid user on mIRC. Trust me.
