Death Note RP with Rules

I have just gotten into the anime series DEATH NOTE. I highly encourage anybody who likes the show to make a pass here and drop us a post, even if it's not a part of the roleplay.

There are rules to this roleplay. I expect that if you read this, to at least send a response as a post on your thoughts. :).

Now then. The setting of the roleplay is in modern New York. You make your character. You choose to use the Death Note for good, or for ill.

Not everyone will have a Death Note, and you can help hunt down those with the Death Note-in fact, it is encouraged! ^.^.

You should at least watch the first episode of Death Note if you have not already. It will take only a paltry 22 minutes of your time, and I promise you that each episode gets increasingly better.

For those who have not heard of or watched Death Note, it is a japanese anime about A high school student who finds something called a Death Note. It resembles a black notebook with the words Death Note on the front.

In it are instructions on how to use it.

You must write the name of the person who you wish to kill in the pages of the book. Also, you need to visualize their face. After 40 seconds, the person will die of a heart attack. However, you can also SPECIFY a cause of death, and as long as it is theoretically possible it will happen, assuming everything like the name and face are correct.

Example: You can't say someone will die in the middle of the ocean in 1 minute of a massive shark attack if they are in New York.

It's just not possible.

There is a lot more powers and privleges associated with the Death Note, but I will let you watch the anime and find that out yourself.

Now...the most important part.

I will PM a user, if not more, telling them they have recieved the DEATH NOTE. They can use it however they wish. They have to PM their message to me, for me to publish, so that Nobody knows who exactly has the Death Note. (Only if you are USING the Death note in your post)

;D. THAT is what makes this so wicked-nobody will know who has the Death Note and has to act in character. If you happen to notice something strange going on, feel free to investigate.

Even if you have a Death Note you can post normally in this Thread, with your character's actions. Don't give anybody a reason to suspect you, haha!!

You can narrate your thought if you wish, as well. If you have the Death Note I prefer it if you don't let anyone on with your thoughts you have the Death Note.

This post is already long enough. Note, I will control the Shinigami if you have a Death note. If you have any suggestions, feel free to write in what your Shinigami says or does. I'll probably leave it untouched. :D.

I will start with my own character first, as an NPC. And although I'll know who has the Death Note, I won't use that knowledge to make my character do anything about it. He doesn't know who has the Death Note, and as far as I am concerned is aligned with nobody yet.

I only have a few rules:

1. Have fun.
2. Be kind. Just because you know the name and face of another player, doesn't mean you have to kill them. Avoid that, unless they allow it or it adds to the story.

Don't be mad if your character is killed-I won't let it happen unless it is for a *good* reason (and only after I have consulted you first!). And if you become a main character, posting enough, there's a greater likelihood your character won't be killed, because you post quite often. :D

Also, if you have any idea's on the situation of your death, PM me and I can send those details directly to the person with the Death Note to work into their plan for your death.

And you'll only die if you become a problem to someone with a Death Note and they wish to use it on you, having the neccessary information and tactics to make it seem unrelated to them-and if it enhances the story in some way. :)

You can make up npc's as well to control. Want your own squad of subservient police officers to trail someone? Go for it! They're npc's. If you develop each one, into a person, the more detailed the more likely they won't be killed, as they are "main npc's", etc.

If you make up an npc, you control it solely! You can pass your ownership of an npc to another player, in which case they can do what they want with the npc (even kill them if they have the death note and fulfill the requirements).

Even if an npc dies while someone has ownership of them, that doesn't mean they own the death note. It would only be investigated if the characters were interacting closely in the Roleplay. So while they might have control over your npc, even if they die that person might not have the death note and doesn't neccessarily give you reason to suddenly be suspicious of them with your main character.

Also if your main character dies, you can use an NPC you have ownership of or have created and get to work detailing them to make them more of a main character through roleplay, interactions with other characters, etc.

You can do any of this at any time, just be sure not to abuse the power and stuff. You all know what I mean...don't cause any problems please. :)

Just say Passing ownership of (insert name here) to (insert name here).

Rule for posting time:

If you haven't posted for a while, I will edit this post with your characters name below, as well as a reason for their disappearance from the roleplay. Just read the reason and make a suitable excuse for you to be posting again with your character.

And: FURS and HUMANS are allowed! If you want yiffy, that's fine, but keep it low-key please. This isn't a thread for yiff it is a thread for serious Roleplay. Thanks! ;)

Name: Iruzuki Mitoni (Iru for short. ;P)
Age: 20
Interests: Learning to play Football, The Internet, his job at ForTech, and studies for college.
Special talents: Hard to distract.
Disadvantages: Short (only 5'5''), slightly above average IQ (which sometimes causes him to seem 'weird'), dresses unlike most people, I.e., stand out in a crowd.
History:

He grew up in Montana, living with his caring family. One of his grandparents died, his mother, leaving him feeling vulnerable. He immersed himself in his studies, getting B average all the way through High School. As a result, he grew distant from his father, his mother having divorced when he was two years old. He didn't even know her name. He grew up lonely, and sad, hiding it in his studies.

Once he hit highschool, he was unsure about how to react. There were a lot more people then he was used to be around. He didn't quite fit in, either at the smart end of the spectrum or spending time talking with his teachers or his few friends-he only had two. He took two or 3 honor classes, becoming one of the best in his class as he didn't have anything to do except schoolwork and browsing the web. Nobody seemed to know he existed, his father also being an alchoholic, he never had any friends able to hang out.

He moved to New York, getting a job working for ForTech, a magazine firm that published and reviewed magazines and their creators. His job specifically is Browsing the web, and reporting on viewer percentages (I.E, what percentage of people find something interesting, and how to market it best to them). He also handles the editorial process, making sure everything fits into each completed magazine.

He plans on doing this for the next few years, if all goes well. He has made a few friends in New York, and is glad to be away from his past. He seems happy, but every once and a while will drop into slight depression. His coworkers notice it but it isn't a problem, and he's cheerful most of the time.

Iruzuki sat at his desk, the monitor the only visible thing in the room. Its light lit up a face, staring in concentration as Iruzuki sorted through various files. It was late, about 2 AM, and he had a stack of papers on his desk, some labeled "Lead Missing," others labeled "Review." As he clicked his mouse, a buzzing beeping sound was heard, and a paper was spit out of a fax machine on his right. He swiveled in his chair slowly, grabbing the paper while it crinkled.

"Huh..." he said, speaking to himself.

"Seems ForTech stock prices are up 3%. Knew I should have bought compnay stock." Grumbling, he wadded up the paper and tosses it at a nearyl full basket. It bounces of foff the edge, unnoticed.

"At least when I get home I'll have a nice dinner."

He continues to type at his keyboard, trying to meet a deadline.

An hour later, he checks his watch, before hurriedly packing up some things in his briefcase, and powering off the computer.

At the bottom floor of Fortech, a door opens, the lights in the lobby still on. Open 24 hours a day, apparently. He takes a right, passing a fountain on the property of ForTech, before pausing at a streetlight for some cars to pass.

"Stupid red light!" he mutters under his breath. He wanted to go home!

Age: 19
Interests: Creating descriptive literature about Philosophy, stage-show acting, and dealing with cases involving psychological purposes.
Special Talents: Always one step ahead in case work, and always level-headed.
Disadvantages: Somewhat quiet, egotistic when it comes to work, and at times; psychotic.

HISTORY:
Azul grew up in a small rural town, watching life progress as crime and violence increased, and as power began to be manipulated for selfish acts.

Through his entire education, as a child, to being in High School, he always remained as the socially independent perso in class: listening to speeches and following notes, but never one to participate as a group.

Then came graduation, where he heard word of both parent's passing. This however made him nothing but strong, displaying a sense of wanting twisted justice for all those that fell victim to injustice.

Currently, he became a working novelist who dealt with current events, always alone in his office, writing in paper, pen in hand, jotting down the next new piece of evidence that injustice was increasing, and it must be stopped.

Physical Appearance: Always in a sophisticated dress-appropriate-like manner, long black pants with polished shoes. A black jacket covering the violet shirt he had underneath, with a tie on at all times. Glasses worn at the tip of the nose. Eyes are a light violet with his headfur being jet-black, slightly thick. [Think Mikami. Inspiration is derived from this character. ]

History:He whas born in New York,and lived in New York.His parents where divorced,so he lived with his mom.He never went to high school,he always got straight F's.It whas a pure miracle he even finished school.

He whas a weird kid.He had buddies,but never close friends.He never even had a girlfriend.He had Scoliosis,and that made him even more weird.He didnt walk straight,and his brain worked slow,and even thought his IQ whas below avarage,he solved hard puzzles really fast,and whas a brilliant tactician.

He never got normal education,so he mostly worked on part time jobs.In the age of 20 hemoved out of the house.He bought a one room flat.After a year,he wrote his first mystery novel "Eyes of a killer".It whas quite popular,and had many readers.And now he almost finished his second novel.

- The clock struck 3:52 P.M. from the distance, a book hovering in the air entitled "Eyes of a Killer" was carried by the hand of upper classman, Azul Wulfreig, who carried a smile that would be shined across the news as a ruthless murderer who never got caught. Intruiged by the book, but somewhat dazed, he clasped it shut, stood and walk towards the entrance, slipped on his leather jacket, and exited his place of stay in order to get at least a reasonable amount of "healthy air."

Walking up the sidewalk, he noticed some young grade students crossing the street, an old women selling some type of fruit, and then a figure in the distance that nearly made the hair on his back raise like quills. Still, he was curious; and what better way to kill off boredom then to experience first hand someone new?

Walking towards the male, he outstretched his hand, and then displayed a smile, "Not everyday a person stands in the middle of the city dazed...other than myself.. i'm Azul."

Went away for a while, came back every day this month. Saw my old thread I put so much work into, and had to reboot it. I need to save this on my pc so if a mod wants to delete this please give me a 2 day notice I come here literally every day now and have for a whole month.
