just my personal opinion but i think the activation time should be lessened from 15 days to like 5 or even 10 but 15 days is kinda extreme dont you think?

Not really.
Maybe, say, 2 years. That would be extreme.

Is this button exclusive to people that the mods trust / won't mercilessly abuse it, because I'd really like to play with it if no-one else is using it...

Sorry bout that. The reason why the waiting peroid is so long is, I think, a way to save the bord some space. Every avater pic and the contents of the sig are all saved onto the bord itself. So if there is a 15 day waiting period people who quickly loose intrest forget about the sight before they have the time to put their avater and a large picture in. This equals a lot of furs (I think only 1/3 of all members have over 15 posts.)

Also, it's a way to discourage trolls and others like them. They tend not to think long term, so 15 days is far to long for them, they arn't going to rember to come back here.

Trust me, once you've been here for five months, 15 days dosn't seeme like that much.

There is a reason we make it so long. Those whom do not have the patience to wait 15 days just do not need to be here. As well it keeps troll down a bit.
