Image file too big

every time i try to post a pic, it says that there was an error and that the file size was too big. any help?
(it says that for ALL my pics.) :(

What type of pics are you trying to post? jpeg/jpg has the largest file base because of the ease of upload. If you can turn them into jpeg/jpg, then it should work. The limits should be given.
