I'm gonna make this rather simple and sweet. I'm new, as is probably everyone else who's started a thread here. A friend of mine suggested this site when I inquired of a new fur site that I could play around in, and maybe make some new friends on. He told me that in general the furs here are sweet. I'm taking him at face value on it, so hopefully you all prove him right.

Size? *A slender brow arched.* I'm not all that tall *looks down to the tips of her toes.* nope, not tall at all really. *only 5ft 4in, but with a rather nice wing span, and much stronger than she appeared.*

Besides, isn't everyone worthy of being flattered at some point?;-)

*Smiles warmly* Perhaps for a Gryphon I'm small? I don't know. I've met few Gryphons myself. I figure as I'm an anthro gryphon in shape that might have some play on it, verses the quad style. But even then, I wouldn't think of a Semi more like a rather large lion at most. *Shrugs* no offense taken by the way. I just was confused.

well there are stories about rather large gryphons, but i read them in highschool, so im not quite sure

*looking to wolves now she nodded.* Ah that's true of many things in mythology. Things are always made to be grander than they are simply because it would be boring to read something that was less grand. After all who'd want to read about Hercules if he just seemed a simple man in appearance?

Aside from that, if you let the image mule around in your mind. Half Lion doesn't imply the size of a Semi. Though I'll grant you male lions can be rather large. But standing next to any human A Quad, Gryphon would most definitely tower.

There is also culture to take into consideration. Like the Dragon, Gryphons come in all shapes and sizes based on Culture. I just happen to be my size, nothing more to that really.

But if it makes you feel better...

*Wings slam open, the ruffling of feathers giving a more than noticable sound.* But if I wanted to look bigger I could always do this. *Said with a chuckle as those wings, colored in a metallic teal stretched wide. They were flight worthy wings and as such the wing span was well over 12ft from wing tip to wing tip.* In the sky we do look bigger than we are.

*jumps back as wings unfurl*whoa, seems you are right*walks back up* i had been thinking in my head at the time of the creature with the body of snake, goat, and lion i believe, although with those wings it would be a rather poor sight to see me or anyone even attempt attacking you.

*She chuckled at the responses and in a smooth motion folded her wings back up ever so gracefully.* Now that makes no sense. Wings aren't meant for attacking.

And I've never known a gryphon to be of such a mix. Feline and bird mix in appearance, but not feline or bird. *She smiled, as best a gryphon could smile* I am a Gryphon, not a cat with wings, and a bird head. Sounds so much like a Frienkenstien movie or something. There may very well be some out there who have gryphon in their blood though who have goat or snake as well, but I am a pure blood, anthro, gryphon. *She smiled warmly.* I just don't have tan fur and white feathers. Like I said location, location. *A chuckle, rather musical in nature, iminated from her form.*

(I am actually a returning member to the site and your post is one of the first that I saw) and as some have said... size isn't everything. I should know being 6ft. 7in. it ain't all that great being tall..... I practically have to wear a helmet all the time!
