Lots of thoughts revolving around my head recently... concerning the furry fandom and it's exploits. I think it's best I have a week off. Just to clear my head. If I'm not back by next weekend... I'll have come to a decision that you might not like.

Take care.

I appreciate all your comments... but it's remarkably how quickly a decision can be made when you stop worrying about it.

Let me explain. I started to query my role within the fandom, and whether it was an area I wanted to stay in. I've spoken with furs on here, furs in RL and non-furs who know I'm a fur. I thank them all for their advice. Today I went on a walk in my local park and got chance to walk around Birmingham for a while. I have also accumulated nine hours alone thanks to train travel this weekend, which saved me the annoyance of staying awake with my thoughts. On the train and in the city, I put all my thoughts into one place and figured out that the furry fandom is not something I need to involve myself with 24/7. It's a nice quirk, and there are elements of it I do not enjoy. But F2F, and the people on it, are certainly not unenjoyable. So the decision has been made (more rapidly than I had anticipated), I won't be going anywhere. Sorry to dissapoint.

I'm also sorry that I've made a big deal over what turned out to be a two-day leave. I feel a bit silly. I just hope you all appreciate that thoughts had to be processed and decisions had to be made.

Welcome back Equium, I'm glad you didn't decide to leave. I think about leaving the forum a lot as well, but I know I'll get bored and come back no matter how mad/frustrated I am.

I love the forum. It was the fandom as a whole that was getting to me. But I've mulled it over and I've decided if I can do what I want to do and not go where I don't want to go, I'll be fine.

Right.

Anyway, yeah, usually when you step away from something you realize things. And it's best to come back with a fresh perspective. Take puzzles for example. There have been word puzzles or card puzzles I've solved after leaving them alone for a while.
This is a hobby treat it as such. An active interest but not a life consuming one. Although I do know people who take hobbies too far.
I trust you'll be all right.
Giggity giggity, hehe o right!

I thought I'd need more than two days to think about it. But I spoke to some of my good friends and I'd be a fool to leave. A bloody fool. I've got too many good friends on the forums. Or at least, I think. XD

Hi E.

We have not met but I have read your posts. As to this one, I can understand what you were going through. Been there done that many times on different things.

I guess, that you have to look at the big picture get out a big eraser and removed from it what you don't want.

For me, being furry, is not a fandom. I mean Star Trek is a fandom, but Voyager was and is a waste of film. But that does not mean I don't like the Star Trek as a whole.

I'm a furry, because if you find the right den of furries, then you have come home. And though we may fight or disagree or be a bit overbearing, were still family. We as individuals may not have the answer, but as a pack, there is not much we can not solve. Point in fact is this thread, people wished you the best, did not beg you to stay, but wished you the peace you needed to find.

Family.........thats what being a furry is about. So though we don't know each other well, let me say

Welcome home again.
