Bricks + Computers = BAD

Well, no, I didn't get angry and beat my computer with a brick, but it has bricked itself. I have no clue what's wrong, but it won't get past the boot. I'll be on very sparsely until it gets fixed, which is indeterminate time. I'm still available on Xbox Live as Okuma56, mostly playing Fable 2, Castle Crashers and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Wish me luck on being able to actually get it fixed quickly.

might be a virus or a recently installed program that insists not playing well with your system.

My guess is a virus or some other hardware issue, problem is, if it is a virus....only option would be total wipe, which would just REALLY suck.

even some of the simplest programs can fuck your computer. Hell I had issues with Yahoo messenger 9.0 had to remove it due to my laptop beeping at me and getting stuck at the boot menu (or not even booting at all)

anyhow wish you luck and hope it's a cheap fix.

try putting her in safe mode then refragging the whole thing. I had this issue as well.

I had a friend look at it, and it seems like it might be even worse than I thought. Either I've got two broken video cards, 'cause neither work, or I've got a really screwed up motherboard or HD. I'm having to use my mother's computer if I wanna get on here, and that's an inconvenience for the both of us.

Well, I got my brick running again. Had to do a full restore to factory, and lose the use of my upgraded video card, meaning I only have my on-board card now, which is considerably worse. I can basically only play Diablo2 now :/ But at least I'm back on my computer, and now I can start rebuilding my porn collection. And my music. And my pics. Someone kill me.

okuma.. dont you know to always use a backup media?
i have all my important (and not so "important") files backup up on three different hard drives.. one network one usb, and one non primary case drive

you can spend 20 bucks for a 100gig internal harddrive on ebay and have all the extra storage you need, much safer that way.. never store vital information on a primary drive no matter what.

edit for extra tid bit..
there are recovery programs that can find the "raw data" on a drive even if a partition has been wiped, used one myself once or twice after a stupid mistake.. the program pretty much loads the deleted data as an extra virtual drive for you to pull the information out before unloading it.

who the hell visits Fchan for what people type? when i am on that site the only reading i do topic names and photo names ^^. when i first found out about fchan it took me only 4 hours to go through most every picture in there... (i avoided some of the topics that didn't tickle my tasts)

-if you troll a (2nd)troll that is trolling the (1st)troll trolling you than that should be silly because that (2nd)troll is doing your job for you.
-if you are trolling a (3rd)troll that is trolling the (2nd)troll that trolls the (1st)troll trolling you then you are still on the path of sweet revenge, but more in a fashion of defending the troll that is defending you.

I would only troll trolls that have trolled pseudo-trolls thinking they're real trolls trolling. The word starts to lose meaning after enough times.
