A New Semester (Damostat)

[Xon_Mar]

"So this is it." Xon said to himself. He was a large grayish blue dragon and it was a new semester at the college that he was just starting at. He opened the door to his new dorm room. It had been a busy morning signing papers, carrying stuff back and forth moving in, telling his parents goodbye, and then finally getting in to start unpacking. "I wonder who my roommates going to be." He thought and he would set up his computer and then he'd put his clothes away in his closet. He looked aound some as he thought he heard the door opening and he looked back around. "Hello?"

Damo picked his box up at the bottom of the stairs, hurrendously irritated that the elevator was out of order. When he reached his floor, he was sweating horribly and stinking to high heaven. He desperately hoped his room mate hadn't arrived already. In fact, he secretly hoped he didn't have one at all. It was just in his nature to be shy. After all, he was maybe 6' (Smaller than an average bear) and largely overweight. Most bears were only slightly pudgy. He was huge. He found his room and gave a deep breath as he slowly opened the door. Seeing the dragon, he slammed it shut again.

Xon turned as he heard the door open and then slam shut. "What was that?" He wondered and he would move over and open the door. The large dragon stood about 7 ft. tall and he looked down to the shorter fat bear in the hallway. "Hello there." He said and would smile kindly. "Need some help?" He asked seeing how sweaty and tired the bear looked. "I can take that box for you." He said since he figured if the guy could come in this door he must be his roommate. "My name's Xon. What's yours?" He asked after introducing himself.

Damo opened and closed his jaw, unable to really speak properly. He was extremely intimidated by the gigantic dragon, even though he was being very kind. Eventually, he was able to get out the words, "I'm...D...Damo." He handed over his box quickly as if at gun point, looking down at the floor as he hurried inside past the dragon. He looked at his bed. Better than anything he had slept on in a long time. He yanked his box back, shoving it on the bed and blushing as he started to unpack.

Xon looks down at Damo watching the bear as he seemed to just open and close his mouth. "It's nice to meet you Damo." He said and took the box as it was given to him quickly. Then the box was yanked back away from him as Damo went and started to unpack. "He seems really shy. I wonder if he's ok?" He thought to himself. He knew he could be intimidating but normally he didn't scare people that badly. "So, are you new here too?" Xon asked as he closed the door and would move heading over to his own bed and sat down.

Damo looked up at the dragon at the question and gave a nod. "Y...yes sir I am." He turned back to continue unpacking his stuff, placing a few little pictures up on his side table. When the box was empty, he placed it at the foot of the bed and sat down, avoiding the eyes of the towering creature above him. "You can go ahead and make fun of me now. Everyone does."

The large dragon looks down to the bear. "Why would I make fun of you? I know I may look mean, but I'm a nice guy. I wouldn't do that." He said honestly and Xon wondered why Damo seemed so down. "Hey, I need to take a shower, but then how about we go and try to find some food?" He asked since the fridge and stuff was empty.

Damo still wasn't convinced. There had been many people come and go in his life, alot of them deceiving, pretending to be his friend, only to destroy him in the end. He heard the statement about food, then perked up his ears. If it was one thing he liked, it was something to eat. He gave a nod, "Yeah fine. I know a good pizza place. We'll go there."

Xon nodded smiling. "Sounds good to me. I like pizza a lot." He said and would head towards the bathroom. "Be right back." He said and would take a quick shower and come out in only his jeans as he is drying the rest of himself off before he'd set the towel down and grabbing his shirt off the bed and would put it on.

Damo traced his eyes surreptitiously over the dragon's back. He gave a soft murr. He sure was hot. He didn't seem like too bad a person, perhaps he would be different than the rest of them? He decided to be careful about it though, he had had this done to him before and then been dropped and humiliated. He sighed softly, rubbing his forehead. "Should we go now?"

Xon finished getting dressed and he turned around looking to Damo. "Sure thing. Let's head out and go get those pizzas." He said smiling and would move heading over and opening the door and would wait for him in the hallway before he'd start walking out of the building to head towards the restaurant.
