As the sun set over the mountains, a quiet calm descended over the peaceful Japanese village on the mountainside. Lights went on in peoples' windows, and stars began to appear in the sky. Some people turned on the TV, but not many people had more than a music player, preferring to spend their time with their families, playing board games or cards, or just talking or reading a book.

A cobbled street led through the village. At first, the buildings were banks, stores, and places of business. These stores began to fade away as the landscape gave way to rice fields and houses. Some might even call them ranches. On the side of the road, someone had left their trash to be picked up. One piece of trash was a small cardboard box, in which a little black puppy huddled, cold and alone. Clouds began to darken the sky, accompanied by a symphony of thunder and lightning. It began to rain, and hard.

((A/N: Okay, first off, this RP is set in a mountain village in Japan. It's an Oliver And Company style RP, basically, you RP a puppy or a kitty, or some other species (feral, people! :D), as my character's playmates/companions/pack, and we'll go an adventures together. Also, I'm not very familiar with Japan, everything I know about it comes from anime. I'm assuming they have garbage pickup like we do here in the west though.

P.S.: This is set in a human-populated world, like the one we live in in R/L.))

(hehe, not very ... if your going for what I think your going for, your going to want to do an western setting. Mostly because japan is SUCH a differnt culture than anything you or I are used to, especialy if were going for the 18th century .. may I suggest a mountian town in new england? Leaves you open for small town adventues, wood/moutntian adventrer, and perhaps getting stuck on a train and haveing an adventure in NYC or boston. Oh, and you won't mind an otter, would you?)

(Okay, a western setting it is. Do you think I should restart this, considering my error and the fact that you're the only person to post here in over a week? And sorry for the delay, I haven't had internet access for five days.)
