"Cristal, are you listening to me? Cristal!" shouted a commanding voice. "Hmm, what is it now?" a young female creature growled as she was snapped back to reality by the harsh commanding voice. The cool air of the shadow cave caused goose pimples to rise along her flesh. The bear standing in front of her looked agitated, her brown eyes narrowing as he spoke. "Well, I was trying to make sure you know the plan" he tapped a clawed foot paw on the ground; the blunt claws made a tapping nose. With a sheepish smile she sighed, rolled her feral, sapphire eyes and recited her orders. "Go in and get out as soon as possible, then meet with you back at this cave with the others." She patted her hips to make sure her weapon of choice still rested peacefully there, her sai. "And…?" the bear asked. "Okay Ike, don’t get anyone killed, I get it". The creature waved her goodbyes cheerfully to her commander before leading a small patrol of three, which consisted of a wolf, tigerss and a beaver, towards the enemy stronghold. The small group of hired mercenaries were headed towards something even they weren’t sure of, all they knew is that they were hired to steal blood gold from a dwarfish hold and bring it back to the human who had hired them. They waited behind a small hill; the female checked her affects once more. She wore a navy cloak about her shoulders that hid a celestial pattern of stars and moons down her back to the base of a white tipped tail. It swayed with her thoughts of the impending mission, slowly moving the fabric of the garment. Her light blue outfit wasn’t very modest, heck she wasn’t going for modesty. For necessity her blue bodice came to her navel while the matching skirt she wore went to her ankles with a waist high slit on both sides, in her leather belt sat a pair of sai. On her neck was a leather collar, from which hung a crescent moon made from silver, a cherished memento from her childhood.
Welcome to Stoica, a wild planet where man and beast coexist side by side. There is one simple rule to this strange plane of existence: survival. Humans breed with humans while the beast breed with beast, but if the two shall meet and produce offspring, said offspring is considered a freak of nature and abomination. The child and parents would be the shame of the community looked down upon. Some villages would kill all that lived in the household for harbouring such a thing or sell the family into slavery.
The small troop hid behind a rock on the yellow grassy plains, the chill wind biting them to the bone as they waited. "Okay, everyone remember the drill?" the young female asked her companions. "There is a small wicker gate for the dwarves to enter on the left hand side, Ike said the lock should be rusted and old enough that with a hard hit it will break. Once we are inside we need to head to the chamber where the gold is held quickly and silently, if anyone sees us we are to kill them quickly and silently" she smiled, showing her small set of upper and lower fangs as she did so, seeing her comrades readying themselves. "Okay, let’s go." She led the way behind hills, rocks and brush to the gate as quickly as quietly as possible. Upon reaching it the beaver known as Chuck, a large barrel-chested creature wearing a plain leather jerkin, left stealthily to break the seldom used gate. They noticed something wasn’t right, it was laying in pieces, strewn about the weeds. The gate was already broken, "Listen, we need to be even more cautious, something doesn’t smell right about this place." She spoke softly in a whisper as she led the way inside, they saw pools of blood that appeared to be fresh, splashed throughout the service entrance. Where there should have been a deathly silence there was the sound of footsteps all about them. "Abraham, what do you think is going on, this place smells of dwarves yet there are signs of battle and the sounds of footsteps everywhere?" she questioned the wolf as his silver furred ears rotated.
Abraham who was one of the few veterans sighed his ears drooping as he answered her "Your the leader, you make the decisions but if you wish for my opinion this may not bode so well". the young creature had to think long adn hard before she could come up with a decision."We must continue with our mission" she sighed readying herself by pulling out her sai holding them in a defensive postion. "Be ready we dont know what lies ahead of us" as she spoke softly watching the others prepare themselves the tigress grabbing her mace allowing a grin to cross her feline features as the beaver pulled out a stout axe smilg at the tigress as if they shared some secretive joke. "Lets go from here on no talking unless necessarry" cautiously she led the way her tail not moving all nerves and sense stretched to their fullest, until down the hall as they turned the corner they came upon a cracked door where joyous voices eminated from. Cristal motioned for the tigress known as Lily to take a look. Quickly silently she dtole up to the doorway ehr tail swaying behind her for a few seconds as she looked inside before shaking her large striped head. Her sharp claws protruded as their grip on the haft of her waepon tightened "You guys arent going to believe this" Lily whispered upon her return "There are men here human men and they are feasting in the hall but there are no dwarves with them". Cristal let out a soft growl as she responded "It gets stranger and stranger by the second, this makes it even more dangerous we were prepared for dwarves but men are here we must make this fast" it is a well known fact that dwarves are not that fast for they have short legs and if an alarm were to be sounded somehow it would take them some time, but men have long legs and are quicker. Whoever had hired them was going to have to anwser a few questions from her for endangering her comrades in this manner quickly silently the went past the door.
