If you like my poetry, feel free to tell me. :)

Alone I stand and gaze out into the night.
Quiet and alone, a single figure seeing something lost from human eyes.
Cool night, with dark and shadow bringing all to peace.
With faint light left from those who have gone long ago,
From stars which shine brightly and dimly, and moon as well, a lonely call,
A reminder of things blinded to most in the here and now.
Echoes, the sound of people and life in the distance, the world’s memory,
Set adrift on gentle breeze, so beautiful a night.
All seems strange, a different place perhaps, so close… so far.
If only it could be seen, a realization to contemplate upon.
Is this true solace… or loneliness in desolate separation?

Winter

Early or late, or early AND late
The timing different, but the time is the same
Trouble knocks upon her door, and she MUST answer
It begins, and ends, but she never notices
Leaves fall, trees green
She is blinded by sparks and pain
Liquid red, and things mundane
The ring of steel, her legacy and her lullaby
How some do live their name
Twisted irony, really
The tragic path and existence all her own
Life taken before it is given, childhood lost before being granted
The sword born to her hand, no past truly known
Isolated times, alone in the crowd
Death’s touch upon her, though never shall he claim her
More tragedy, the irony to her not noticed
