Thanks America, We Love You Too.
In a society where the uncommon and underground are mercilessly persecuted, where those deemed monstrous by their complex and publicly unfamiliar lifestyles are judged with such injustice as by those who dare call themselves normal-We, collectively speaking, must seek even deeper shelter in that which ‘they’, the self proclaimed judge and jury of what is right and wrong, the oppressors of creativity and fellowship unknown and strange to them, “The average American, “ “The Perfect Patriot,” have seen fit to trial what they have been taught and fed to see as “vulgar and evil.” And they have reached a verdict.
Led by the patrimonial misconception of that which is not in the norm or outside of public acceptance, they have come to their conclusion that all those who live happy, wonderful lives inside the mysterious shouldn’t even walk the streets without a label or brand, without being taught what is “acceptable.”
Where, I ask. Where is the justice? Where is our protection, our support, our opportunity for redemption?! Well, if you really think about it, we have no need of redemption. We have done nothing to deserve the damnation forever thrust upon us, and to avoid it, we have taken even more covert precautions to protect ourselves. Of course this fills our jurors with even more unnecessary fear, steering our superfluous trial toward what we desperately tried to avoid. Making them feel like they must fortify and barricade themselves from us in order to guard what is most sacred and precious to them: Their way of life.
So, gathered from that point, we both are fighting a battle to preserve our choice of lifestyle. Unfortunately, compromise seems unattainable due to the vast difference in population. And when you invade one, it reacts like any normal human would: With force. “The birth of prejudice is the threat of change.” A theory of mine I have been studying. This may seem like old news to you, but only recently has the measure of that statement revealed itself to me.
Which makes me wonder, being the devils advocate for a moment, is it right for us to truly call our selves the victims? Is it not just human nature, as well as American right, to despise, ridicule, and demean us when we attack what they hold dear? Whether we mean to or not doesn’t matter. It’s a defense mechanism.
Overall, all we want is for the hate crimes, hate mail, hate in general to stop! We would be satisfied at a distance if not for the chains of cowering conservatives halting out ever growing march down the fabled path to struggling yet assured right in our pursuit to happiness. We just wanna be happy America. Plain and simple.
