Poetry: "A Heart Remembers"

I wrote this in memory of a dear furry friend who had passed away in February '08 Since this is a place for stories and poems I thought this might be a good first piece to post and hope you all like. I made the small gif along with it as some sites ask for a thumbnail pic to attach to stories.

She was part Chickasaw and use to tell me some things from that language and I have Incorporated them into this poem...so for reference for you all.
Chickasaw/English
Cheveyo=spirit warrior
Uno ihullo ishno = I love you
Tah ihullo ishno, puchi yoshoba. = I love you, dove

Heart touches heart
A big heart will always reach a like one
No matter the time
No matter the distance

As weeks go on
through roleplay
through messages
through phone call
Heart touches heart

Though we have never touched
We have hugged
We have kissed
We have comforted
And heart has touched heart

You were my angel
As I was yours
You were my love
As I was your dove
You were my sister
As heart touched heart

Now fly free
As your body never could
Fly free my Cheveyo
My spirit warrior
Fly free with all the angels

My heart remembers….
