[ If you take the time to read it all, kudos to you. ... Otherwise, ah, I'd really only like to go a round with whomever is first to post. ... I get sidetracked with too many people. ^_^;; ]

-

It was cold. ... And that wasn't just something you could apply to the climate. People were cold just as often as the weather. And door handles. You best believe metal door handles and hinges and the push-kind got damn cold when it was cold. Freezing to the touch even. They should have came with little warning signs: 'Achtung! Possibility of frost bite upon touch. You may lose a finger or three. Have a nice day!' ... So it was a long shot; distant day dream of pointlessness. ... If thoughts were capable of keeping one warm, he'd be a blackened pile of ashes by now. But all that was way off and between. ... It was cold. ... And on that particular day he'd wished that he'd had his service truck. It was one thing to deliver packages in an automobile that had the option of providing warmth and it was entirely another to have to forgo that and deliver on foot. Though, that was partially his fault. After having taken his truck in for the yearly maintenance he thought it would be, ah... kind of him to deliver what he could on his way back to his rental home.

He'd only been able to carry so much, but he knew if he was a customer waiting on a package that would inevitably be delayed he'd be overjoyed at the fact a certain black furred wolf with random brown stripes stopped by to drop off a package he would have to wait a whole week or two more for when things picked back up. Most likely more because orders were still taken and received during that period; meaning aforementioned wolf would have more to deliver. And if he worked over a certain number of hours each day he got a nasty headache and became uncooly irritable. And that was no good for anyone involved.

Zillion huffed out a breath that fogged in front of his muzzle before dissipating as it drifted upward into the cold December air. As he raised an arm he tugged off the dull gray hat he wore as part of his uniform, standard for that particular branch of the company he worked for and scratched the back of his head as he trudged slowly down the street. It was one of those bleak looking days, though thankfully the air was only filled with wind and a few scattered specks of snow. He could be thankful it wasn't one of those crap days where it was a mix of slush and rain coming down in frozen torrents. Then he would've gone straight from complacent to pissed in having to muck around in that.

After a few cold, tiring miles in a biting wind he finally stumbled up the small expanse of his driveway, pausing upon his porch to fish around in his coat pocket for his keys. Mismatched hues of amber and blue drifted as digits sifted through pockets, running up the dead end road. The neighbors directly across from him had moved recently, and the sale sign had only been up a few days before it was sold. He was wondering when the new neighbors were going to move in. Everyone else on the block seemed to have packed it all up and went on vacation as far as he could tell. They were all probably some place warmer. Bastards. ... With a small sigh he pulled his keys from the pockets of his work pants and shoved the one key that didn't obviously belong to an automobile into the door. A twist of the key and a turn of the knob and he nudged the door open, stepping inside. ... And he was damn glad he'd turned the heat up before he'd left.

Zil kicked the door shut behind him as he ambled on inside; tossing his keys and hat on a small table that set near the door. Dull gray jacket was removed and tossed to hang over the couch as he went straight for the fridge, jerked it open and grabbed a bottle of water. Cracking that open, he'd take a few gulps before moving over and plopping down on the burgundy couch in the small, unadorned living room. He'd gaze absently about, noting how he still hadn't went out and bought any paintings or hung anything to detract from the boring white walls. Hell. He reminded himself of it every time he flopped down. One of these days he'd get on it. ... Maybe.

Itching at a spot on his chest through the plain white shirt he wore he yawned; muzzle parting to reveal mostly white canines as he leaned back to let his gaze crawl up toward the ceiling. Middle of the day... eh. He knew there was nothing on the television at this time, so there was no bother to turn it on. ... Now he just needed something to do. If he even wanted anything to do. He wasn't quite sure yet.

"And a good day to you, Mister Ceiling. Yeah? Been stuck up there all day, eh? Well doesn't that just suck. ... No, I hear yeh. I'd be pissed too."

He'd frown. Purse his lips. Then take a large drink from his bottle of water, effectively draining near half of it.

"...Get a life, man."

An old battered black and green minivan drove slowly down the road pulling one of those rented enclosed moving trailers behind it. It crept along the street, seemingly in inches, as the driver searched for the correct house. The van finally came to a stop in front of the house that was recently sold. A small little two bedroom one bath ranch house with a fireplace the sellers agent had said.

The van back up a bit and pulled into the drive across from the house. Then slowly the driver backed up. Then pulled forward back into the drive. Then slowly the driver maneuvered the moving trailer into the drive of the house that had been sold. The van backed the trailer all the way under the carport next to the house before the engine was killed off. The cold day becoming quiet once more with the absent sound of the van's noisy motor.

Hakumei opened the van's door and cursed at the cold weather. Shi mumbled as shi pulled a suitcase from the passenger seat before slamming the van's door. Hir grey eyes glared a the carport as shi cursed under hir breath once more. Hir breath fogging before hir small muzzle. Shi was at least bundled up for the weather and it was hard to tell rather shi was a male or a female. Hir long black coat was fastened all the way down. It was like a winterized trench coat that ether had a hood on it or something worn under the coat had one as hir head was hidden in one. Shi carried the suitcase tot he side door that came off the carport and fumbled with some keys before finding the one shi wanted and unlocking the door.

Shi opened the door carrying the suitcase in as soon as it was open quickly getting out of the cold. Shi placed the suitcase down by the door and shivered. Shi should have had someone from the agent's office come and turn the heat on at least. But shi didn't even think of that and like them not mentioning there was no garage the bastards didn't offer them turning on the heat for hir before shi came ether. Shi moved though the house looking for the heat.

Zillion set his nearly depleted bottle of water down on the small circular stand that rested on that side of the couch; almost too lazy to lean forward to place it on the coffee table. Though he did end up leaning forward, arms bent and hanging over sides of legs as elbows rested against the tops of his knees. He stared at first at the coffee table's faded glossy, scratched surface before glancing up to the dead television screen, then over to the blinking teal light of his stereo system. It was a wonder he hadn't walked right in the door and immediately turned it on and blasted something enjoyable. Oh well. Silence was always a welcome thing. Some of the time.

The sudden acclimation of noise outside however snagged his attention further. He didn't recognize the sound of the motor. It was rare that someone used the dead end as a turn about, and most of the other residents on the block drove cars, or in the case of one of the residents; a damn loud diesel. When it took more than a few moments for the motor to die he pushed himself up off his overly comfortable couch and stepped on over to the window that looked out over the tiny space of front yard he had. Paws shoved into pants pockets, he peered out and to the house across the street, brows raising slightly. He really hadn't expected anyone to move in so soon. But it wasn't a bad thing. He knew he wouldn't have wanted to move on a damn cold day like that. ... Though, understandably it would be a while before the climate warmed back up.

Head canted to one side as the drive finally got the trailed backed into the driveway and parked. "Just one, eh?" He mumbled to himself, watching the... er, someone... step out of the vehicle. Were his eyes really that bad that he couldn't quite make out gender? Maybe; maybe not. Well, shit; he could read the liscence plate from his current vantage so he must've not been too blind. Left ear twitched slightly and he reached up to scratch at it. Now the question was... did he waltz on over and say hi now, or wait til tomorrow when they were all settled in? Maybe they would like help moving? Maybe they wouldn't? He shook his head, scattering the parade of questions and turned from the window as he watched the person disappear on into the house.

Walking past the couch, he snagged his work jacket up and headed on into his bedroom and to the closet; having left one side of the slidding mirrored doors open he didn't have to waste much time hanging said dull gray coat up and yanking out a preferred black suede jacket to toss on instead. Black, gray and white. You really couldn't go wrong with those colors. With something of a stretch and a following yawn he plodded out of the bedroom, taking a moment to check if there were any messages on his answering machine on the island/bar in the kitchen before heading out the door, once more into the cold. At least it wasn't a long walk across the road. He could deal with that.

Zil casually strode up the slightly cracked and worn drive of the house across from his own. With ears folded a bit back he approached the door, and providing it was closed, rapped a knuckle against it; after which he'd take a half step back and wait patiently, paws shoved into jacket pockets as he shivered against the cold.

Hakumei finally found the thermostat and looked at it. Well at least they weren't dumb bastards shi thought as shi saw it was at least set to sixty degrees Fahrenheit. Shi turned the temperature up to seventy thankful shi wouldn't have to worry over a broken piupe somewhere. Hir ears perked as shi heard someone knocking at hir door. Shi turned and walked back though the hall and kitchen to the side door where shi had entered and the knocking came from.

Shi opened the door slowly and gave a small smile in greeting to the wolf she found there. Hir face still partly hidden form hir hood though a bit of white hair could be seen agaisnt the silver fur of hir face. Hir muzzle seemed more like a cats but a bit more pointed like a fox. Hir nose though was definitly canine not feline in nature. "Hello. May I help you with somehting?" Hir voice was higher in tone and more feminine then mascline. Shi spoke softly looking up at you with hir gray eyes a small shiver going though hir from the cold.

He'd been glancing off down the street at something, or quite possibly nothing at all. The latter probably being the more truthful of choices. When the door opened his attention drifted back, mismatchued hues fixating on the half hidden face he found there. Black tiers curved into a smile, ears perking up as he studied the visible features of his new neighbor. Squirming slightly from the cold he held out a paw, clearing his throat some before speaking. His voice was soft; mild if you could attribute such to a voice. "Hiya... er... name's Zillion. I, ah... saw y'pull in so I thought I'd come over 'n welcome yeh to the neighborhood. And see if y'needed any help movin' anything in."

Squirming slightly from the cold, he gave a half sideways nod to the trailer; tail twitching idly back and forth as he remained standing in front of the doorway.

Shi smiled softly and nodded "that is right kindly of you Zillion, Thank you. I am Hakumei by the way and right now I am just trying to get things warm in here so you can help by helping me get the box of fire logs and the rest of the fireplace things out of the van." Shi gestured towards the van. "I will deal with the trailer latter. The important things for today are packed in the van." Shi waited for you as you where blocking hir for stepping out of the house.

"Oh, you're welcome. I know I wouldn't want to move a load of stuff into a house, out 'ere in the cold all by myself." He flashed a warm smile as he stepped back out of the way of the door so shi could get out. "It's good to meet'cha." He mused; reaching up to scratch at his right ear.

With a shrug of shoulders he cautiously stepped toward the van, slowly, as if waiting for more of a directive from hir. Shi had said that shi wanted logs and fireplace stuff from the van, but he wasn't about to just skitter on over and open up someone else's vehicle. So he'd wait for hir.

"I was really surprised at how fast this place sold. I don't think it was on the market for more than a week." Tossing a look over his shoulder at her as his left ear twitched about. Paws were subsequently shoved into his jacket pockets.

Shi stepped on out of the house partly closing the door but not all the way so it could be pushed open easily. Shi walked over to the van and nods to you as shi opens the side door of the van. "ya, I wouldn't do it if I didn't have too. But the price was right and I had to get out of my old place quickly."

Shi pulled out the box of logs which was right at the door placing it on the ground before grabing another box near the door marked fireplace out as well. Shi also placed that one on the ground before closing the van not wanting to leave it open. "Thanks again for the help by the way."

December 5th, 2008, 06:41 PM
"That doesn't sound like it was too fun. They at least give you a warning a couple months in advance?" He inquired as shi slid open the van's door. "I hear some places tell you and give you only, like... a week. I never thought that too cool."

As shi set the second box on the ground he moved over and bent to lift that box, setting it on top of the one filled with logs. As the van door was closed he knelt and got his arms under both and lifted near effortlessly as he stood. Working with boxes of all shapes, sizes and weights all day sort of helped with knowing how to balance.

"It's not a problem. I was sittin' on my couch not quite sure what to do with myself, so, maybe I should thank you for droppin' by and giving me something to do." He flashed a grin, then nodded toward the door to the house. "I'm just going to assume you'd like these set right by the fireplace?"

It was a question that probably hadn't needed to be asked, but he asked anyway as he carried the boxes toward the door, nudging it open with a foot. Shoulder bunched up as he slipped on inside, a moment taken to gaze around the room before locating the fireplace and stepping on over that way to set the boxes down. As he did, he removed the second box of miscellaneous fireplace stuff and set it beside the box of logs rather than leaving it on top.

Shi shook hir head "it was due to my work I had to move in a hurry." shi said as shi finished closing the door and turned back towards Zil and blinked as shi saw he had stacked both boxes and was lifting both of them up. Shi hadn't expected him to take both boxes. Take the heaviest yes. But not both of them.

Shi smiled softly as he grined at hir and nodded as he asked where shi wanted the boxes. Shi watched him turn and carry the boxes in then turned back to the van thinking as shi opened the door again. Shi so hated not bringing something in and thought what would be a good thing to bring in next. Shi looked over the labels on the boxes grabbing one marked 'kitchen/pantry 1' placed it on the ground and closed the door. Shi bent down and picked the box up carrying it into the side door and into the kitchen. Shi placed it on the counter and returned to the door closing it before walking into the front room.

Shi walked over the the fire place popping out the claws on one of hir hands and silting open the fireplace boxes with them. "thanks for bringing these in Zillion." Shi took one of the logs out of the box and opened the fireplace. Placing the log into the fireplace reaching up to open the flume. "Can you get me the fire lighter from the other box please?"

December 6th, 2008, 05:26 PM
"Ah, work related. I know how that goes."

He'd stood and turned, about to go see if shi needed help with anything else when shi came in through the door, carrying a box into the kitchen. Not quite sure what to do with himself, he stood, gazing about the empty, undecorated room until shi came into the room from closing the door. Left ear twitched slightly as his gaze drifted to hir; soft smile still given.

Moving a bit to the side as shi came to get a log out of the box he watched hir as shi went about putting it into the fireplace, nodding his head as shi asked him to retrieve a lighter from the second box. "Sure thing!" ... Tugging open the four flaps on the top of the box he crouched down and poked around until he found the lighter in question and pulled it out, handing it over to hir. "Here y'go."

Tail brushed quietly against the floor as he was quiet a moment before speaking again. "So what do you do as far as work goes?" Tilting his head to the right slightly.

Hakumei
December 7th, 2008, 05:27 PM
Hakumei blinks and shakes hir head pulling down hir hood so shi can see properly to light the fire as shi takes the lighter from you. Hir white hair hangs long and loose with silver white tipped fox ears poking though hir hair. "I am sorry. My mind must realy be out of it. I ment to say that it wasn't due to work I had to move. Can't beleave I did that. I wish it was just due to work. But I work at home over my computer."

Shi held the safty pulled the trigger on the lighter. Shi then leaned into the fireplace lighting the firelog at each end and in the middle to get the fire stared. Shi wached the flames take hold of the log. The fire starting before turning back to Zil giving him a small smile as shi started pulling out the fireplace tools and setting them up on the harth. "would you like some ot chocolate or hot tea? I brought the mugs and hot drinks in with me."

Zillion
December 7th, 2008, 06:49 PM
"Aah, hey. Don't worry about it! It's been a pretty long day." He'd grin, scratching at the back of his head after shi'd taken the lighter. "So why did'ja have to move in a hurry then? Was it another apartment or something? ... I had a friend once who had to move out 'cause the owners decided to tear down the place to build something new." Shoulders would roll back in a small shrug as he watched hir light the fire; mismatched hues reflecting the small, flickering flames as they grew on either end of the log.

He would attempt to help by pulling stuff out of the box as well and handing it to hir as she'd place stuff on the hearth. "Oh, no thanks. I'm not really all that thirsty or anything."

Tail twitched and came to half curl about his left thigh as he crouched there on the floor by the box. "So what kind of work do you do from home?"

Hakumei
December 7th, 2008, 09:52 PM
Shi finishes putting the fireplace tools away and blinks softly answering "or something...". shi nods taking the rest of the items and placing them along the mantle including the long lighter. Nothing is what would be consider very personnel. A mantle clock, a bowl of riverstones with a cord coming from it, and a set of candle scones that she just places on the mantle for now deciding to hang them up latter.

"Oh photographers and companies send me pictures and info and I scan the hardcopies if they come that way and create pamlets, brochers or magizine add layout for them. I have also worked on illistrations for a few books." shi lets the bowls cord dangle down the side of the mantle near where a plug is but doesn't plug it in. Shi stands up and stretches some hir silver white tip fox tail slipping out of hir long coat as she does so. "What about you. What kind of work do you do?"

Zillion
December 7th, 2008, 10:10 PM
"Oh? That's cool. Sounds like it's a pretty fun job. Especially if you can do it from home. Seems to me that'd make it more relaxing, since you're in your own space." He stood as shi finished setting things on the mantle and stretched his arms above his head, squirming a bit from side to side with the action as if trying to stretch the rest of himself as well. "Me? Well. I deliver packages." He waited a beat before grinning; left ear twitching as he then scratched at it. "Yeah, amazing job don't 'cha think? Heh. ... There's a lot of companies and such in this town I deliver hefty things to. I personally like it 'cause I get to meet a lot of people. Or at least get the privilege of knowing a lot of people by name." He would shrug his shoulders as he relaxed; digging his thumbs into the pockets of his pants.

Zil eyed hir tail as it poked out from her jacket, having the faintest inclination to tug at it... but he refrained from doing so since he didn't quite know hir. ... So he stood there, gaze drifting to the floor for a moment because he couldn't quite find anything else to say, nor could he conjure up a question to ask. For half a second anyway. His tail swished back and forth as his gaze drifted back to hir.

"So how far from 'ere did you live before?"

Hakumei
December 8th, 2008, 12:21 PM
Hakumei nods "yes it is pretty relaxing and fun if one doesn't have dumb roommates doing stupid stuff." Shi started to walk towards the door again hir tail slipping back under hir coat. "It is a straight day's drive form here. I packed up and drove half way yesterday stopping to sleep some and drove rest of the way this morning. Can you give me a hand getting the rest of my things in...Just have to get the desks and chair out of the trailer then unload the electronics and other stuff from the van?"

Zillion
December 8th, 2008, 12:54 PM
"Aah, I've never had the... pleasure... of having roommates. I much prefer my space." He'd give a little smirk, rolling his shoulders some as shi moved toward the door. Zillion gave a nod of his head and followed. "Sure thing. Probably best to get it done now. It's supposed to be colder tomorrow. I know I'm not looking forward to it. ...But, at least I got the week off."

He glanced out the window toward hir van and the trailer. "Is there any particular place you want the desks? Probably easier if we just got 'em in and set 'em right there y'want them."

Hakumei
December 9th, 2008, 09:26 AM
Shi closes hir eyes shaking hir head "trust me it wasn't a pleasure." she said before opening hir gray eyes. Shi smiles up at him softly "that is nice having the week off from work. Esspeciually with it suppose to be so cold this week."

Shi stops and thinks "the smaller of the two bedrooms was the plan but I better find out which door that is though befpre we go out in the cold again." Shi walks out of the den area going down the hall and looks into each room finding the smaller of the two rooms. "here we are. This is hte room the desks will go into." shi said leaving that door open and closing the other to make it easy to remember which one it is and returns to the den and walking towards the door. Shi sighs "I hate going into the cold but as you say tomorrow will be colder so I guess we should get to it. The sooner it is the done the sooner we can stay in the warmer house."

Zillion
December 9th, 2008, 06:04 PM
"Yeah, it gives me time to sit around and do nothing. Well... do nothing and at least stay warm. Or try." A light chuckle was given.

He nodded as shi spoke of what room to put the desks in; mismatched hues following hir as she moved off down the hallway to figure out exactly what room that was. He made a mental note of what door shi'd opened; even though shi'd shut the others. "Yeah. It's supposed to get progessively colder all week. Should even have some snow by the weekend." As shi came back he stepped over and opened the front door for hir, waiting til shi stepped outside before following. He'd leave the door open, sadly letting some warm air out... but they'd need to keep it open so they could get the desks and such inside.

"No furniture or anything like that?" Zil would ask as he moved over to the trailer shi had connected to hir van.

Hakumei
December 9th, 2008, 08:39 PM
Hakumei stepped out into the cold shivering. Hir arms going around to hug hirself as she makes a face "yuck snow. I hate snow." Shi reached up and pulled hir hood back up walking towards the trailer and unlocking it "oh...there is more furniture yes. Just need to get the elctronics in as soon as possible and I know daylight is not lasting and if I have too I will finish the rest of the furniture tomorrow. I just want my electronics in the warm house first and for that I need the desks." Shi explained as shi unlatched the back of the trailer and opened it.

"Granted I don't have much furniture truely. But I do have the basics covered." Shi opened the trailer doors and the desk chair and the three peice desks where the first things by the door so they can be the first off. "Always best to pack electronics last and unpack them first after all."

Zillion
December 9th, 2008, 09:08 PM
Zillion only huffed out a breath as the cold hit. It made him regret not putting on a heavier jacket. It wasn't too bad, though; he supposed. He wasn't going to be out in it for hours on end so it was alright. He'd tolerate it. Though he wouldn't like it. "Yeah, it's definitely a good idea to get the most important stuff in first." He'd step up beside hir, on the right, as shi unlatched the trailer. He peered inside as it was opened. For some reason he did enjoy moving the big things. So he was more than happy to have desks and such to move in.

"Well, after we get the desks in and all your electronics..." He spoke as he carefully extracted the desk chair from the trailer and set it on the ground at the corner of the trailer. "...We might as well get everything else in, or as much as possible, y'know?" He'd pause to stare at the contents of the trailer, judging what would be easiest to get out first.

"After the desks and stuff; I could just start hauling all the rest inside for you. Set it all down in the main room... and you can, or we if you'd like more help; could put it where it all needs to go. Unpacking is really a lot more fun than packing any way." A grin was given as he scratched at the back of his head.

He poked a digit at the first layer of stuff; wondering if the computer was in pieces or all crammed into a big box. Once that was out of the way, he mused; the first desk could come out.

Hakumei
December 9th, 2008, 10:32 PM
Shi nods as shi pulls down the trailers ramp as you extract the chair fomr under the bottom desk at the door. Shi then walks up it and starts to pull a desk off of the otehr one the chair had been under. It seems the first two desks and the chair does makes up the first layer of stuff in the trailer.

"Ya, that is a good idea to get as much as we can done today. Once everything is in the house it will be easy to continue working after the sun goes down with the lights on in the rooms with overhead lights that is." Shi pulled one end of the desk gentlly lowing it to the ramp in essence placing hte desk on it's smaller of the four sides. Shi then pivits the desk and gently and slowly lowers the other end down the ramp until the desk is now right side up on the ramp instead of upside down on the other other desk as it had been. "we will start with this one. Mind grabing a side?" Shi said as shi walked back up into the traler grabing the end closest to the trailer.

Zillion
December 9th, 2008, 10:43 PM
Sounded like a plan to him. ... When shi'd started to lower the first desk from the small side down the length of the ramp he reached up and grabbed the other end to help bring it slowly down. He'd nod his head, waiting til shi was back in the trailer and had hir paws on the other end of the desk before lifting the end he was at. "Ready?"

He'd start pacing backwards as soon as shi was good on her end, slowly turning the desk once they got it off the ramp. Over to the door and up a step he'd pause and peer over the wooden expanse at her. Hrrm. He always thought it was slightly more complicated with two people, so he slowly lowered his end to the concrete, motioning for hir to do the same. "I've got an idea... kinda." He tapped one side of the desk where the drawers where. "How about you snag the drawers out of this and carry those inside? I think it'd be a lot easier if I just got the desk inside myself. Easier to maneuver it that way."

Tail twitched back and forth as he shivered slightly when a small breeze drifted by.

Hakumei
December 10th, 2008, 01:23 PM
Walks forward as shi helps bring the desk down the ramp to the door and nods to you "Ok, sounds good if you are sure." shi starts un-taping the two doors from the desk and pulling them out of it one at a time. Shi stacked the two file doors on top of each other and picked them up carrying them into the house.

Shi carried them into the open room and sit them down near the closet out of the way. Shi then looked out the door to see where Zil was with the desk wanting to stay out of his way. After making sure that shi wouldn't be in the way shi made hir way into the kitchen waiting for him to bring the first desk all the way in. "if you need any help. Please let me know Zillion, ok?"

Zillion
December 10th, 2008, 03:08 PM
He watched hir, having not much else to do for those few moments as shi untaped the drawers and unhinged them from the desk. That would definitely make it a lot lighter and easier to carry. He could recall countless times before where he'd been moving desks and had been too stubborn to take the drawers out. It always took longer. ... As shi moved off into the house with the drawers he grabbed the desk by the elongated sides and positioned it so that one of the shorter ends faced the doorway. Moving around to the back of it he slid his arms along the sides and lifted, tilting it slightly back. He maneuvered it slowly through the door, making sure not to bang it against the sides. A near tight fit, but once he had it through he gripped the sides tighter and lifted it fully off the floor so as not to scratch the surface of such.

He'd glimpse her moving off to the kitchen around the side of the desk as he passed, giving a quick smile. "No worries. I got it."

As he took it down the hallway and got it to the open door he paused for a moment, setting the desk down against the floor to turn it, then lifted again as he got it facing how he wanted so he could get it through the door. He tilted it back towards himself this time as he lugged it into the room, setting it down finally once there in. He tipped the desk down then and got it sitting on the floor how a desk should sit. He moved it back and up against one of the walls, making sure there was room enough so that when they got the second one in it would be easy to move them around how shi wanted them.

So with that out of the way he went back out to the main room and slid out of his jacket, folding it neatly to set it on the kitchen counter. He eyed hir questioningly, as if asking if they were going to go get the second desk; soft smile still curved on his lips.

As soon as he was past hir shi walked back out the door to the trail and started moving the other desk out of the trailer. Well more of a counter really that had been resting between the other two desks. This desk had only one door the small center one one found on most desks where pens and pencils and other small supplies one needs are kept. It has no legs of its own as this was the center desk to the three piece desk unit and fastened to the other two.

She easily picked this up turning it like one would a long board. Shi carried it though the door making sure not to bump it about. Shi slowly walked though the kitchen and den to the hall. "Got the next peice of the desk here Zillion. Don't want to hit you as I come in with it so you clear of the door?"

He had stepped out of the way, in the kitchen as shi'd come in with the center piece for the desks; nodding his head as shi asked if he had been clear of the door. "Sure am!" And as shi would go to put that in the room with the first desk he'd slip back outside in the cold with a little grunt. Maybe he should have left his jacket on? Oh well. Shuffling back over to the trailer he hopped up into it and began to drag the other desk out. He get it halfway out and turned the way he wanted before he untaped the drawers on it like shi had done on the previous unit and he set those on top of one another to the side in the trailer before getting situated and lifting the desk as he had the other; arms gripping the long sides, so he held it vertically as he stepped back off the ramp to the trailer and slowly clambered on back to the house with it. Sure it was kind of heavy, but for some strange reason he liked moving things... at least for other people.

As he neared the door he'd turn to his side to see where exactly Hakumei was before actually moving the desk in through the door. He'd get as far as the den before setting it down with a little huff; another pause as he spoke up. Much as she had asked him before, he asked the same. "Bringin' in the second desk, so, don't be near the door!"

With that said he lifted the desk again and continued with it down the hallway, bringing it into the room with the other desk. He'd set it down again, then tilt it down so it sat on the floor as it should have sat; like the other desk.

"Phew. What else needs to come in?" He asked; as if anxious to get the rest in and be out of the cold.

"I am." shi called back "I just put the draws in and am by the closet so you are all clear to come in." Shi stood out of the way as he maneuvered the desk in. Once it was in shi started to arrange the desks correctly "can you go get the other drawers and the chair from out side while I start putting this together?" Shi asked.

Shi moved the two desk fasing each other. One agaisnt the inside wall withte small edge agasint the outside wall with the window in it. The other desk she placed facing it far enough apart that the third piece would fit right. Shi lifter the third piece upa nd placed it between the two desk under the window slide locking the piece in place. After that was done shi un-taped the center door in the desk.

"Sure." He'd reply as he set the desk down, taking a moment to watch hir arrange them to her liking before he turned and made his way back outside into the cold. It was getting later in the day; the sky showing signs of darkening. He didn't exactly know what time it was, but it didn't really matter to him.

Giving a little yawn he strolled back to the trailer and wheeled the chair about to set it in front of the opening. He then took the drawers he'd taken out of the desk and stacked them on top of the chair seat. Zil lifted those without much of a problem, stepping back toward the house; pausing momentarily to gaze over at his house before continuing back inside and taking the items into the room where Hakumei and the desks where.

Setting the stuff down he pushed the wheel chair over to hir. "Anything in particular you want in next?"

Shi turned smiling up at Zill as shi started putting the drawers back into the desk, one file cabinet one and two half drawers. "The rest of what I want in is in the van. All the electronics, the computer, server, router, two flat screen monitors, an all in one printer and the six boxes marked office." shi chuckled after shi had finished listing everything "Just occured to me that the office has the most boxes going to it."

Shi shrugs as shi head back out of the room going outside. Shi closes up the trailer before opening up the van to start moving all the office stuff in. Shi pulls out the computer tower and heads back in carrying it over to the desk placing it on the center desk.

[ I had posted earlier, but I took my time with it and it logged me out and decided to eat my post. Lets hope it don't do it again! >_< ]

He gave a low whistle as shi listed what else was in the van that needed to be brought in, head nodding to hir words. "Sounds like a party."

Zil followed hir out of the room and outside once shi'd finished placing the drawers in the desks. Pausing near the van to glance up at the sky as shi latched the trailer back up. Hrrm. The sky was a mixture of light, medium and dark grays. A discomforting pallete. It was as if the sky was deciding whether or not to dump a shitstorm of ice and cold down upon their part of the world. Ominous stuff. He gave the menacing clouds a little glare before his attention drifted back to Hakumei as shi had moved to slide open the door of the van. He stepped to the side to let hir pass as shi carried the computer tower on into the house, then quickly dug the two flat panel monitors out of the van and followed back into the room where the desks had been placed. He set the monitors on the second desk, figuring shi would set them up how shi wanted them as he drifted back outside to get more things.

He came back half a minute later with the server, router and the all-in-one printer; setting them on the same desk as he had the monitors. As he placed them down for hir he leaned slightly against the edge of the desk with a soft smile.

"So I'm just going to guess that this is the office and I should bring all those boxes in here?" He had a good idea that it was in fact the office, but he just wanted to make sure. Because... you could never be too sure about being sure and it was always a good idea to make sure you were certain about being sure and overly sure about your certainty of sureness. Yes, indeed.

Hakumei followed Zill out of the house and blinked as shi watched him take the server, router and the all in one all in one trip. Shi smiled shaking hir head as shi watched him going into the house before pulling out two of the office boxes and following him in. Shi places the two boxes on the desk on the left as he had placed everything else in the desk on the right.

Shi giggled softly as shi placed the boxes down "I don't know. What do you think a room with desks and computer equipment should be called? A media room?" shi teased good naturally before softly answering with a smile to him "yes this is where the office boxes go." Shi placed hir hand on the top of the boxes shi just brought in "And the remaining four boxes can go next to these two." shi said before starting out of the room heading back to the van.

"Media Room isn't half bad!" He'd chuckle, ears half laying back against his skull. "Y'could call it anything I 'spose though." He'd prattle off as he followed hir back out to the van. "Computer room. Desk room. Work room." He reached over and scratched at his left shoulder, giving a small yawn; then promptly shivering as he'd stepped outside. He was never going to get used to the cold.

Zil would step quickly past hir to get to the van first; tugging four boxes, one by one nearer the door. He'd set one on top of another until there were two stacks with two boxes on each. Of course he would only take one of them back into the house, leaving the other easily accessed for hir and ready to just be picked up.

"Sure there's not anything else after these?" He'd pause before actually heading into the house, tossing hir a glance over his shoulder.

Hakumei giggled as shi listened to Zill prattle on "computer or work room maybe..." Shi shivered as shi stepped out side pulling hir hood up more in a effort to stay off the cold more.

Shi shook hir head as shi watched Zill pull out the remaining four office boxes. Shi smiled as shi saw he wasn't going to try to take all four of them as shi bent to pick up hir two boxes. Shi straightened up and tilted hir head at the question looking to the sky "mmm...well the van has a few more boxes for the kitchen and pantry as well as a large rabbit skin rug for in front of the fire. Then all that is left after that is the sofa, my bed, chest of drawers and a few boxes for the bedroom and bathroom all in the trailer. But getting all that in is depended on if the light and weather holds out."

It was getting dark, he'd note. Shi was probably right. Best to wait until the morning for the rest. After all it was only going to get colder as night fell. He huffed, glancing up at the sky before nodding his head and continuing on into the house to take the boxes to the office room, setting them next to the previous two shi had brought in. Well, they'd gotten a good amount of stuff inside so far... though he would have considered the bed something of importance and would have made a point to get that in first. But, oh well. To each their own. ... Though, he personally didn't mind sleeping on a clean floor. That was him though.

Zil'd wait until shi was in the room too, before speaking. Because who else was there to listen? Surely not the walls. And the desks seemed to be content to not care about his presence.

"So, I don't want to over stay my welcome on the first day you're here, but..." He rolled his shoulders in a small shrug. "...What's the plan now?"

Follows you into the house and places the boxes on down on the desk "Well if you can check on the fire I can go lock up the van and grab the rug for in front of it. After that I have some macaroni and some stuff for a simple pasta sauce with tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. I'd off to order pizza but I have nether a phone installed yet in here or the number to a delivery place." she offers with a small smile "of course you don't have to stay and eat. I would understand if you just wanted to head home. You were a big help to me and I thank you for that."
