Is there any way to read PDF files on teh psp? I know i can convert them to jpegs but I'd rather keep them the way they are. I want to run an RPG and all the books are on PDF so I need something to run like an electronic book. Have been looking into older PDAs. I found a few but since i have a PSP it would save me a few bucks.

I don't think so. Then again, I just use my PSP for gaming, so I wouldn't really know. :E

Yeah, currently it can't read PDF's. Either you would have to convert the PDF into something else, or you could run a program that can read PDF's... only problem with that is if you've updated your psp, you can't put programs on it, unfortunately the psp is kind of weird with that stuff... :\

I'll have to get back to you on the firmware info, my gf still has the psp in pittsburgh and I think its wrapped up. If nothing else I might just get a 45 dollar pda to do it that way it doesn't clog my game system up.

Yes, you can view PDF files on the PSP.
Firstly, you will need to install a custom firmware on the PSP (Eg, an M33 one). This can easily be done with a 'Pandoras Battery'. If you have a friend with a modified PSP, they can easily convert there battery, and set up DC (A program by Dark Alex for installing the firmware).
Once the custom firmware is installed, just download a program called 'Bookr' for the PSP. It can read PDF files, and it can also slow down the CPU so that the battery will last longer while reading :D
Good luck!

Theres a way to do it, you just would have to DL the Windows Mobile OS onto it, then DL the PDF viewer that can run on WM which im sure there is one since blackberry has one. Only probably is , you need like a 6-8gb memory stick which can get pricy at times. Google some tutorials, almost anything can be done to a psp that it can handle ^^

well, i can't recomend custom firmware, but its your PSP, not mine, so don't listen to me :P
anyways, the PSP was once able to read PDF-files (i have a few files on my memory stick, in PDF-format i was able to read once,)
i think i seached on google for a document, that gave me "license" to read PDF-files (only)
i'm not exactly sure what i did, but it was on the official custom firmware, and it was after the big security-update..
i seached for "PDF on PSP" or "to" or "2" :P
i will do a bit of research myself, so if i find anything (if you don't find anything before me), i'll let you know...
unless you go custom firmware, then there's no reason :P
