In the dark corner of the local pet shop is a sad looking fox with the normal marking other then his tail has a black tip other then the normal white. The small fox lays curled up in the corner scared of being locked up. the only thing it has on is a very expensive collar that was on him when he was dropped of and he never let any one near it to take it away. The collar is a fitting width for it neck with small green gems inset around i a oriental pattern. As time passed he was the only pet never taken. He had been their for 2 years and had seen all the pets in the store come and go but he stayed making him more and more shy.

the odd being was very lonely and thought about a pet. he got up and got dressed. after an hour drive he got to the pet shop and entered. the fox at the counter showed him each cage, but when he passed the cage that the fox sat in the simply passed.

" what about this one?"

the owner didnt say anything. but the drolf grabbed the owner like he insulted him.

" i would like this one. open it up and let him out."

the owner opened the cage and put the leash on the collar. then handed it to the drolf who paid and led the fox into the car. he looked at the collar and smiled.
"might i ask who gave you such a lovely collar?"

As the leash is put on the small fox he is lost in thought of what is going on. He follows the drolf not knowing what is going on. When he is put into the car he slowly realizes what is going on and his tail starts to wag wildly. He sits looking around and as he hears the drolf ask him about tohe collar he is snapped back to reality and again curls up as he hiding still scared out of his mind. He has his head hidden as he answers what he was asked.

"It was given to me when my mom had to give me up. It is the only thing i have left to remember her."

The small fox now hids his head scard he will not be like and thrown away like when he was young.
