View Full Version : Travel in the TARDIS (Semi literates, PM before joining)
The Doctor
January 6th, 2009, 01:37 AM
The Doctor, a 6 and a half foot Liger Time Lord with a brown mane and green eyes, entered the TARDIS from the SN thread, expecting a small following. Not knowing who will join, he approaches the console and prepares to take off. He doesn't notice the bush that is a litle out of place in the metal room.
(For those unfamiliar with "Doctor Who" The TARDIS is disguised as a 1950's Police box which is bigger on the inside.)

there had been no one around, as far as he could see, when the small male pine martin climbed through the fence and saw an unfamiliar blue object, slightly larger then an old style phone booth.
someone had left the door slightly open. that was the first thing he noticed. then there was some sort of sign beside the door, too far up for him to read, other then the word police, that he could see from that distance. he new that meant danger of some sort. he knew what police where, but there was no evidence, other then that world on the sign, that the object in question had anything to do with any kind of law enforcement. more like something some hobbiest or collector would have built. perhaps as some whimsical sort of garden shed.
it was hot and dry outside and it looked like an inviting shady place to get in out of the dust and heat. he new about caution though, and carefully checked before entering. seeing no one about, and knowing from experience he could easily escape notice if no one saw him move, and being VERY tired, and really needing someplace to sleep where he wouldn't be disturbed, hopefully long enough to actually do so, he slipped quietly inside.
even the first room he entered seemed large then the outside of the object, plus being brightly lit, and in the middle of it some sort of high tech looking console. not as promising looking as he had hoped, but there still didn't seem to be anyone about, and leading off from that room a doorway into more dimly lighted spaces to explore, the promise of the possibility of a real place to hide.
from there he wandered an unbelievable maze of dimly lighted passageways, eventually finding a completely shadowed corner to curl up in, and there, promptly, and as feeling as safe as he ever did, curled up and went to sleep.
that the spaces he had found seemed impossibly larger then the object appeared from the outside bothered him not at all. it really wasn't something it had occurred to him to wonder about. it was just a place, out of the hot dry sun, where he might go unnoticed, long enough to not have to move on any to soon.

The Doctor roused from his slumber. The sound of soft footsteps reaching his sensitive ears, echoing through the metal corridors of the TARDIS. Without even needing to go investigating, he knew that another had entered his capsule.
The intuder wasn't Time Lord, he was sure of that or he would have sensed them long before hand. He scooped up his coat from its resting place and strode from his quarters in search of the prospective companion.

footprints in the dust end in an oval of undust, where some relatively small creature had been curled up sleeping a short time before.
zymph looks down from a very narrow ledge in a cornice, watching a large ligar approach.
*how will i explain my presence?* he wonders. *should i reveal myself or get the heck out before i get kicked out?*
he jumps down, landing behind the large ligar person, (who is) apparently looking for whoever, whatever, might be intruding there (again so he well expects, being himself), heading back toward the way he came in. knowing he'll be spotted as soon as the other turns around, instead of running, tries to remain calm and innocent looking, like he just happened to be there, as is, after all, more or less the case.
