When I look back on all we've done
I see our footsteps merge to one
We were destined to carry each other
Our happy and sad times through it all
Never once did my faith in you waiver
Never once did I stumble or fall
All this time, I have carried you deep in my heart
Though at times the load was heavy
As I look back our footsteps are washed away
By the ebb and flow of the waves of time
Each day we can start anew
