OK, maybe this is kind of dumb, but this is a writers forum, and the other day I was making a list of how many animals can also be used as verbs. I know I’m missing some, but here’s the list so far. I tried to use each one in a sentence, as an example………

Ferret (The detective couldn’t ferret out the evidence)
Cat (That tramp was out cattin’ around all last week!)
Dog (That credit card company is always doggin’ me about being late.)
Snake (The river snaked though the forest)
Monkey (Hey, don’t monkey with my tail!)
Fish (Always fishing around for more yiffy art……)
Horse (Quit that horsin’, and get back to work!)
Goose (That fox just goosed me!)

Ok, you can tell I was a writing major. Anyone has more, hope you add them to the list!

mm, lemme see . . .

weasel (he tried to weasel his way out of trouble)
cow (he tried to cow her by acting tough)
badger (she badgered him till he finally gave in)
wolf (he wolfed down his food)
hog (he hogged all the food)
fox (she outfoxed him again)
ram (the egg was rammed into a tree by a tornado)
bug (he bugged her until she smacked him)
hound (she hounded him for days afterwards to get revenge)

Hey Bunbun, thanks for adding to the list, and good to see another poet here! I see a lot of bunnies hopping around where I live, I love their quick, intelligent looking eyes.

I came up with a few more:

Carp (He was always carping about how he couldn’t get a date)
Crow ( They we’re always crowing about how great they were)
Skunk (Sheesh, we lost the game….we we’re really skunked!)
Thanks for adding on. This might get harder, but hope to hear more examples.
