[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Adale, the muscled brute from the Savannah Pride lands, was on his way to the mall. He'd never really liked the mall but didnt really have a choice in what to do. Everything was closed save for the mall and all its denizens. His blue jeans and green tank top fit tight over his large frame as he wondered almost aimlessly through the crowed aisles and hoped that this day would be over soon.

[Kansai Lai]

The bear was seated on one of the benches of the mall, her black t-shirt and baggy jeans flowing out from her. Lai had spent the better part of the day shopping, but had only come away with a few books, some sweets, and a new collar. She let out a sigh, taking a sip from a pepsi bottle (she did love vending machines). Should she go home, or should she wander around still?

*grumbling to himself for making a huge mistake coming to the mall, adale makes his way to the foodcourt. at least there he coudl get food and maybe he'd find something to do there*

[Kansai Lai]

Deciding she should at least have a bite to eat before she goes, Lai made her way up to the food court. She grabbed a couple slices of sbarro pizza, yet another pepsi, and found perhaps the last empty table in the room.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

*watches as the most adorable bear he had ever laid his eyes on walks by and sits down, so enamored with this bear was he that he ran into a group of punks sitting at a table who pushed him to the ground. Adale looked at the bear and hoped she hadn't seen him being pushed down, stood up and roared as loud as he could into the face of the guy who pushed him.

Color left his cheeks and he sat down, nearly in tears as Adale turned back around, trying not to blush, hoping he could still make it out of the food court without making a complete idiot of himself by staring at the gorgeous bear as he walked by*

She whipped her head around when she heard the roar. Just about anyone who heard that turned their heads. Seeing as it didn't concern her (as far as she could tell), she turned back around and continued eating her food. It was a pretty long walk back and she needed to carbs to burn.

*walks past the table the bear is sitting at and cant help but smile at her as he is walking by, compelled to stop, Adale stumbles to a halt and looks nervously at the bear and smiles shyly* I...uh....that is, I saw you....and...ahem *he cleared his throat and stood tall and proud like the lion he is and brushed himself off* Hi *smiles warmly* I'm Adale and I couldn't help but notice you sitting here...

[Kansai Lai]

She swallowed the bite of pizza in her mouth. Lai played it cool. "Oh? And what exactly did you notice?" She cocked her head to the side. "So, hat do you want?"

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

His mouth got dry quickly and he could barely speak but he managed

"Well i was wondering if you would like to go to a movie with me...or something sometime?"

He felt his world crashing around him as he made the largest fool of the all out of himself. She would surely scoff and tell him to leave her alone or she would call the cops or something equally horrible and embarassing but he couldnt stop talking to her.

[Kansai Lai]

By all rights, she should have done what he feared. She should have sent him away. But she didn't. Her cool demeanor warmed as she smiled at the lion. It was cute how he was bungling. "Hn, alright. What did you have in mind, Cassanova?"

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

*kinda blushing at being called cassanova, adale clear his throat and thought for a second and grinned* How about this, I'll make you dinner and we can go see that new action movie that just came out?? *smiles and looks hopeful* I can cook a mean steak...

[Kansai Lai]

Her ears perked up. "You really know how to treat a girl, don't you? Alright. When and where?" Steak and an action flick? She'd have to keep this fur around for a while.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

*grins as she speaks, his confidence returning slowly and looks at his watch* Well I'll go to the market and get a few New York strips and have the marinade for about two hours and have dinner ready by say 8? I'll come get you while the steak is simmering and we can make the 9:30 movie. Sound good?? *his heart almost skipped a beat as he was talking, she was SO cute*

She licked her muzzle, it sounded so tasty. "Sounds great. Where should I meet you though? I can't just teleport, you know," she teased him gently . He really was adorable to watch when he was flustered.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

*grimacing as she spoke, she was right, he hadnt specified where he would pick her up* well, if you'd like, i can give you a ride home from here and pick you from there if that ok?? oh and do you like baked potato with your steak???

[Kansai Lai]

"Hn. Alright. And I'd rather not have a baked potato if it's all the same to you." Mashed was the way to go, but she didn't want to trouble him. She smirked again and finished the last slice of pizza on her plate. Lai thumbed some of the sauce off her muzzle before rising to her feet. "By the way, my name's Lai." The she-bear wondered how long he would have gone before finally asking her himself.

*melting as she spoke her name he smiled and offered his hand* Well im pleased to meet you. So where do you live from here? *offering to let her go first, trying not to trip over his own tail*

"About a mile or so up the road." Having this kind of attention brought out her rarely used flirty side. She gave his paw a quick grip, finalizing the introduction stage. Plastic bag in her paw, she tossed out her food garbage and started heading towards the exit. She didn't fully lead the way. After all, she didn't know where he'd parked.

*smiling at the prospect of getting to spend more time with this adorable bear, he almost forgot where he parked. He pressed the button on his key ring and his unique growling horn let him know he was two rows down and third car in. Walking side by side, he couldnt help but stare at the gorgeous fur walking beside him*

So what kind of music to you like?? I have tickets for a concert this weekend if you wanna go..

*feeling stupid for even thinking that far ahead, he almost walked into his car while opening the door for her*

Wow. Lai had never realized the power of her own looks. Who knew? "Really? Who's playing?" She turned her head to look at him. "I'm mostly into rock music. You know, punk, alternative, goth, all the good stuff." She hoped he wasn't a diehard rap fan.

*his ear perked straight up and he melted into her words again and sighed happily, he was going to enjoy hanging out with her and who knows, maybe something more could come of this*

She smiled broadly. "I love those guys. I really loved that one song Mudvayne did; Not Falling. Have you listened to it? The intro always makes wanna get up and move."

*smiling broadly, probably looking kinda goofy, Adale nodded and opened the door for his new friend* Well the concert starts at 9 so if you want we can grab a bite to eat before hand and still make it before the opening band starts??

"Sounds like a plan," she said as she slipped into her seat. Lai thought hanging around this fur would be loads of fun at this rate. The bear buckled herself in and crossed her legs at the ankle.

*Adale closed the door and got in the drivers seat and started the car, Rob Zombie's More Human than Human blaring loudly from the stereo, Adale fumbled to turn it down to a more reasonable level and blushed from his music being that loud*

Sorry, didnt know it was that loud....*ahem*....so would you like anything specific with your steak?? I studied culinary arts for 3 years in Europe and can cook almost anything you want *smiling broadly, hoping this would impress her*

Recovering from the unexpected blast, she smiled. At least she knew for sure he had good taste in music. "Hmmm, I don't know much about cooking myself. So long as it tastes good. Buuut... My dad did teach me this recipe for an delicious marinade. Wanna hear it or did you already have something in mind?" She cocked her head to the side as she waited for his answer.

"Im always ready for a new marinade" *he smiled and felt dumb for being so cheery, he wanted to play it cool but something about him made him all befuddled, he couldn't put his finger on it but it made him feel good at the same time*

"Well, you take equal parts ketchup, salad dressing, and coca-cola, mix it up and submerge the meat for several hours. He said something about the acids in them mixing well or something. I don't really understand how it works, I just know it does. Trust me, it sounds weird but it makes steak taste delicious. Especially when cooked rare." She hoped he took note of that last part. She liked to hear the cow mooing before she ate it.

*nodding and pulling out a small note book, adale took down the ingredients and smiled* i love my steak rare....i guess its the lion in me *he chuckled and hoped she would too*

"The bloodier the better. Must be my carnivorous side. Evolution didn't give me these teeth so I could hunt the elusive wild radish." She laughed as well. "Ah, turn left up here then take a right at the traffic lights." She'd almost forgotten to direct him to her abode.

*Adale smiled as she joked and was enjoying listening to her sweet angelic voice. Following her instructions, he drove her to her home and looked over the place as they parked, scribbling on a piece of paper, Adale hopped out of the car and opened her door for her*

"Alright. And thanks. I'll see you in a few hours then." She stepped out and headed inside. She didn't do anything different once there. She put away her things, but put on the new collar. Lai didn't change her clothes, wash up, or even brush her head fur. If he didn't enjoy her as is, then he wasn't good enough for her company. Simple.

Adale rushed home to tidy up things. He wasn't a messy person, he just had wieght lifting gear sitting around and the firing rod to the his dads carborator taken apart on his oak kitchen table as he was trying to fix it. The clothes he had on were probably the cleanest he had and he didnt wanna send the wrong message by trying to hard, but he didnt want her think that this wasnt something he was looking forward to by not cleaning himself up a bit. Stuck in a quandry he splashed himself with his favorit can of shower in a can, Axe Night Life and whipped up the marinade she had told him about. After looking through his pantry he found he didnt have any potatoes to bake but he did have some garlic and herb potatoes that he could throw together. He was bouncing back and forth from thinking about her to thinking about preparing everything and almost lost track of time. As he set the steak to simmer, Adale looked at the clock as it turn to 7:45.

"DAMN! I'm gonna be late if i dont leave now!"

Adale ran down his sidewalk to his car and hopped in and sped towards the home of the bear he couldnt get outta his head.

As evening hit, Lai had to control herself to keep from munching on snacks. She needed to make room for that juicy steak she was promised. She tried to keep cool, but kept walking around her house, now getting impatient. Eventually, she went to the bathroom and fixed up her appearance in the mirror, making sure she at least didn't look like she'd just rolled out of bed.

It was 8:09, he was just a little late and he hoped she would understand. He dusted himself off as he walked up to her front door, bringing with him flowers and a box of chocolates that he had seen all those guys bring in first dates with them in the movies and rang the doorbell..."just keep cool Adale...."

[Kansai Lai]

Hearing the bell, she opened the door, but burst out laughing as soon as she saw what he was holding. "You're kidding right?" she chortled, brushing a tear from her eye. Laughter dying down, she took his gifts. "Thanks, they're very sweet. Just let me put them away." And by away she meant place on kitchen table. She'd have to remember to put the flowers in water later. "Alright. Let us be off," she said, coming back out and locking the door behind her.

Adale's golden mane turned bright red as he blushed profusely when she began to laugh at him. He didn't think it was a good idea, but he wanted to be suave and debonaire, and so far he wasn't. He smiled as she took the gifts and waited for her outside and walked her to the car opening the door for her. As she got in, he closed to door and hopped in on his side and started the car.

"So much for learning from the movies huh??" he said trying to fight through the embarassment.

"It was a nice try Romeo, but you're a couple decades too late to not be cliche." She didn't mean to be so hard on him, but she enjoyed teasing others in a playful sort of way. Lai did like the fact that he was trying though. She just felt he didn't need to try so hard at it.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Adale stopped blushing and smiled at the gorgeous bear sitting next to him, he didnt want to seem overly eager. He turned on the stereo slightly for a little mood music and Linkin Park "Shadow of the Day" began playing.

"Well it was more for the whole 'its the thought that counts' thing. But I am glad you liked it. My dad taught me that to be a true gentleman, you have to try to crazy, silly romantic things like that..."

Blushing heavily at what he just said he sat there quietly hoping she wouldnt laugh at him for being so stupid, or at least change the subject. Adale swallowed looked at her from the corner of his eye....she was soooo cute...

"Well your thought is appreciated, outdated though it may be. True gentlemen are a dying breed." This wasn't as bad as she imagined it could be. At least he wasn't a creep. "So Romeo, tell me a bit about yourself."

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Grinning widely at being called Romeo again Adale almost forgot how to speak.

"Well I'm 24, I lived in Europe with my parents until I was 12. When they died I was sent to an orphanage. But it wasn't as bad as people think. I was taught to cook and prepare the best looking food you can imagine. After spending 6 years there, i was good enough to be accepted to a Culinary Arts University in Versialle. I spent three years training there and moved here when I was 21. I lost the accent a few months after living here and found that a lion who looked french didnt much respect. So I started working out, got a part time job as a bouncer/bar tender as a local club and up until recently I was hating this town because i couldn't find anything to take my mind off not having a real job...but like i said, that was until very recently"

He looked at her and smiled and hoped she understood he meant meeting her.

"What about you?? Tell me about you."

[Kansai Lai]

She stared wide eyed. He'd actually had a pretty interesting life thus far. Sadly, she didn't catch that he meant her. She thought he was just happy to have work. "Well I've pretty much lived here my whole life. I just graduated from college with a BA in english. I know it's gonna do me jack squat but you really get anyway in life without going to college these days. I'm still living with my dad since I can't afford my own place. I work as a bus boy in a restaraunt most evenings and a cashier at a porn store most days. The work sucks, but the tips are piling up." She managed a small smile, a little disappointed that she couldn't measure up with his story.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He looked astonished, she had two jobs and he barely managed one. She looked sad and he didnt know why, but he thought he knew what would make her smile.

"You know i was talking about meeting you...until i met you i was rather depressed and thought about moving to New York or some place like that. I didnt think there was anything in this place that would make me wanna stay...I guess i was wrong."

He smiled warmly at her and felt his guard lowering, she was nice, pretty, sweet and had a beautiful voice...it was gonna be hard taking her home later...

Her ears tucked back and she blushed horribly. It's hard to remain suave and cool when someone says something like that. Especially when you'd barely known them for a few hours. She had to stop underestimating her abilities in these matters. "Th-thank you," she finally managed to get out, fidgetting slightly. This wasn't the sort of thing Lai smiled to.

Seeing his chance to capitolize Adale siezed the moment.

"Well i dont mean to make you blush," he smiled a devilish smile, "But you are simply adorable. And the look on your face right now is even more so."

He hoped this worked out. She was the cutest fur he'd ever seen and the nicest too, she hadn't made fun of him for being a cook or an orphan like so many others had. After a brief look of saddness washed over his face he cleared his throat and grinned.

"So the steak will be done in about 15 minutes, the mashed potatoes are cooling, i had some garlic and herb mashed potatoes and made them, i hope you like them. And a buddy of mine from down the street just gave me a burnt copy of the new Disturbed cd, so its playing on repeat. I hope you like them, they're one of my favorite bands."

She gave a groan and hid her face in her paws. She simply could not get used to furs calling her cute. She never believed it. If it were true, then why did no one seriously flirt with her, why didn't she have a mate? Thankfully, she missed his look off sadness because she only removed her paws when he talked about other things.

"Damn, you really went all out for this, didn't you?" It all sounded amazing. Restaraunt quality food, kickin music, what else did this night hold in store for her?

Adale grinned more, seeing her blush, he was obviously having the desired effect on her and he continued.

"Seriously, you are gorgeous Lai, I was suprised when you said you would wanna go out with me tonight, I thought you'd be out with all the guys hitting it up at some club. But im really glad you chose to come out with me. I've got a few tricks they didnt show you in the movies stored up my sleeve for tonight."

He smiled and winked.

She hardly knew which statement to tackle first. The bear decided in chronological order. "Okay 1) I am not gorgeous. 2) I don't have guys to go to clubs with. And 3) ... I am both nervous and curious as to what you have planned." Damn, now she wanted to go clubbing...

*Grinning as she argued with me*

"Well i think you are Lai and not only that, i think you are the most gorgeous fur ive met in a long time. But anyway, i was wondering if you like to dance?? The movie ends at 12:45 and my favorite club closes at 2:30 and i was wanting to know if you would go dancing with me..."

Adale blushed, he didnt mention that he liked to go clubbing and that he was a pretty good dancer. Europe had mad quite an entertaining fellow out of him. He pulled into his drive way and looked at his watch.

"Perfect" he grinned, "The steak will be done in 10 minutes and the movie starts in about 2 hours, may i?" he ask as he open her door, trying to be a gentleman, knowing she hadnt been treated like that before.

She was blushing so hard, even her ears went hot. But thankfully it started to fade when he mentioned clubbing. Now she wished she'd changed into something better. Ah well, what she had on was good enough. She wasn't even given time to answer him, so she kept her decision to the wayside. Lai would tell him if she was up to it after the film.

"Thanks," she said as she stepped out of the car. She didn't know if she could get used to such treatment. But it was nice.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Adale had hoped she would enjoy his place, it was not much for a lady to enjoy, but he had cleaned everything up and made sure to put out a scented candle to help remove the smell of sweat from his workout area, which happened to be the living room more often than not. His stereo was pumping out loud music, even from the outside and Adale caught himself absent mindedly head banging a little, moving to the music and when he caught himself as he was unlocking the door he blushed fiercely and opened it, looking down at the floor as he let her in, hoping she wasnt watching his little outburst.

"This is it," he said openeing the door, looking in and smiling as the smell of the steaks wafted out through the door, hitting her square in the snout, "Home sweet home. Feel free to make yourself comfy on the couch, I'll go ahead and finish preparing the food and we'll eat ok? Would you like something to drink? I have a wine cabnet and several cases of European bottled water if you prefer."

[Kansai Lai]

Lai smiled and gave a short chuckle seeing him start head banging. He must really enjoy music if he did that just outside the house. Her ears perked up noticeably once that smell wafted past. She fought back the urge to drool, it just smelled so good. Stepping inside, she moved to the couch, taking in the sight of his house. It was really nice. She could still faintly catch the smell of sweat past the candle. She liked that as well. The scent, that is. "Um, I don't know much about wine, or European bottled water. Whatever you prefer." The bear hoped that if he brought out wine it wouldn't be bitter. She didn't want to appear anymore of a ... what was the word again? Phillistine? Plebian? Whatever the word was, she didn't want to seem like it.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Adale smiled as he saw the look her face change as she caught whiff of the food, he prided himself on being a good cook. He flipped the steaks, poured two glasses of homemade mixed berry wine and headed over to sit beside her on the couch.

"Here, i made this wine myself 2 years ago. Its been aging in a small wooden cask so it should still have some of the juice left in it. Its really sweet, the sweetest wine ive ever had the chance to make."

Offering her a glass and proposing a toast, lifting his glass.

"To new friendships and what ever may come of them" he spoke, winking at her, hoping she liked him trying to be romantic.

[Kansai Lai]

Her eyes widened in surprise. He could make his own wine? If he was anymore impressive he could be Superman. "Here here," she responded, gently clinking her glass against his before taking a cautious sip. She could never stand bitter and the few times she'd tried to drink never ended well. But this ... this was amazing. It had a nice little tang and a sweet bite; she took a gulp before lowering her glass. "Wow. This is some good stuff."

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Blushing heavily, his mane changing to a reddish orange hue, Adale smiled and looked back to the kitchen to scan the dinner, the steak was almost done.

"Thank you Lai," he stood up and walked into the kitchen and served out the steak onto two dinner plates, garnished them with spices and side dishes and brought both to his dinner table that had two small, rose and lavender scented candles burning in the center.

"Dinner is ready." He smiled, he was proud of this meal, it was the first time her had gotten to cook for anyone in a LONG time and he was glad she liked how it smelled. Her cute little nose gave her away every time she drifted into the smell...

[Kansai Lai]

"Wow," she breathed. "You really didn't have to go through all this trouble. But still, this is just....wow." She had to restrain herself from tearing into the food. But she couldn't help but coo after the first bite. It was hands down the best piece of steak she'd ever eaten. "You should try getting a job at a high class restaurant or something. This is so delicious!"

Adale continued blush as he sat down with her to eat.

"Its not that good, im still just learning. I am glad you like it tho. I made tir' massue for dessert, I hope you like it."

He smiled and continued thinking about what it was going to be like with her dancing with him later, he was excited, he hadnt been clubbing in about 2 years was kinda scared he wouldnt know what to do...

She gave a gentle laugh as she took a bite of potato. "You're spoiling me way too much. Dinner, music, movie, dancing..." She laughed again and kept eating, loving every bite and looking forward to dessert.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He smiled as she enjoyed her meal, he had basically been a servant in the orphanage and he enjoyed it when people liked his work. He didnt feel it was spoiling her, he was raised to treat a beautiful lady as such.

"I dont think its spoiling you," he said smiling, "I was taught this is how you treat a beautiful lady. Especially one in your company who has taken time to get to know you."

She was adorable...he was frantically trying to come up with something to talk about and was failing sadly....all he wanted to do was sit the and smile at her...his mind began drifting to thoughts of later and he blushed harder than ever before, his mane turning almost red....

"Nn, stop, I'm really not the pretty." Her face dropped and she focused solely on her plate. Although while she ate, she did think about how much she'd gotten to know him in such a short amount of time. Lai was starting to like him very much, he was so sweet. Males like him were rare.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He couldnt help but smile while she was being modest, it was a very adorable trait and he enjoyed seeing her get all red from blushing. He had never had such a good time in such a short period with anyone, and he was looking forward to spending even more time with her later.

"Well they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and i do believe i behold a beauty..."

[Kansai Lai]

She gave a playful little groan. It was clear he wouldn't let up on it anytime soon. Or ever.

She finished up her plate, licking her muzzle. She rarely used napkins and had forgotten to be polite. "My compliments to the chef," she giggled, trying to praise him again.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He finished shortly after her and picked up both plates and carried them to the kitchen and set them in the sink.

"Im glad you liked it Lai, I was hoping you would, and now its time for dessert, i hope you arent lactose intolerant, because this is loaded with creme..."

He sat the brown little cake looking dish before her. The warm scent of cappaccino rolled off it.

[Kansai Lai]

"There's no way I could be lactose intolerant. Not with how much milk I drink." She licked her muzzle again, having another drink of her wine while he fetched the dish. Her cheeks got hot from the alcohol, but she was nowhere near tipsy. Lai took a bite of the cake and hummed. "Changed my mind. Open your own restaraunt with this skill." She laughed and took another bite.

He was very pleased to hear her compliment. Not very many people had tired his food, and it had been a very long time since then. He watched her enjoy herself and smiled as she drank her wine.

"I think i may just do that. Would you be interested in being a Hostess if i do start my own place?"

He wanted to direct the conversation away from how cute she looked, he was feeling funny things when he spoke about that and didnt wanna end up embarassing himself in front of her.

She gave it a little thought as she took another bite. "You know, I think I would." She often refused to work as a hostess where she worked, being too nervous to interact with furs. But maybe with Adale, it wouldn't be so bad.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He smiled at the thought of having the chance to work with Lai, he wanted to spend lots of time with her if he had his way about it. Looking at his clock he smiled.

"Well we have a half an hour before the movie and the theater is not even 10 minutes away, would you like a tour of the house?"

He pointed around the house and indicated an upstairs. Realizing what he had said he blushed deeply.

"Um..well, im not trying to, ya know....seduce you or anything..."

He quit speaking, he had lost his cool demeanor and now felt lost in a sea of his own stupidity...he simply blushed again and downed another glass of wine.

She laughed at when he said and how flustered he became. "No, I didn't think you were. You'd probably use a better line and not have mentioned the movie at all." She finished what was left of her wine and set it down. "I would like a little tour just to kill time." She wanted to keep seeing him blush. It was cute.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

His mane was the color of the wine by the time he stood and looked over the living room and headed for the first open door.

"This is the pantry, I keep all the dry foods and what not in here, its also where i keep the stuff to make the wine we had."

Leading her to another door, he blushed even harder...

"And this is my bed room."

It was very clean and had a massive fourpost bed in the center of it, statues and pieces of art were strewn about as if it had been professionally decorated.

[Kansai Lai]

She stepped into the room, impressed. She only had a simple twin sized bed. But her focus was more on the artwork. She couldn't draw worth shit so she always admired other who could. "Did you get all these in Europe?" she asked, looking over one of the statues as though she were a collector.

He nodded and said very little, a large stone block, half carved into sit in the corner, on a large plastic rug that took up about 12 square feet. He pointed to a few, mostly of greek like furs...

"I took a sculpting class before I came to the states and have been trying to get back into it. My mother was quite the artist or so I'm told and her family, who disowned me because of my father's reputation, say that I have her gift. Maybe you would model for me sometime? I would love to carve you a statue..."

He blushed again, he hadnt talked about himself in ages and every word he said, he felt as though he was a braggart and she would scoff and leave...

She didn't think him a braggart. He only told as much as was needed without flaunting it. She was very much impressed with his originals. She would never have guessed it was his own work. She blushed heavily and giggled a bit when he asked her to model. She'd always wanted to be a model for art, but never found a way to fulfill it. "Maybe," she replied. Lai couldn't agree to everything he'd said right out or he'd think she was easy.

He smiled when she blushed at being asked to model for him, he had never had such a beautiful fur to sculpt, he would love the chance to have her spending that much time with him. Walking over to the blank stone he had started to chisel at he looked at her with his thumb in the air and closed one eye.

"I can see it now, a master piece of epic proportions."

He smiled, trying to regain his cool calm demeanor.

"Yes, epic proportions indeed." She pointed out that she wasn't exactly of ideal shape. She always poked fun at her figure, but at this point in her life it was always out of fun and good humor. She smiled broadly, her blush lessening now.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

"I think you have a greek goddess-like figure if you want my opinion."

He said smiling, looking over her from head to toe. Amazed at how she could not see the gorgeousness that was plainly there in front of her.

"To be honest," he blushed again slightly, "I've never met a prettier fur in my whole life..."

[Kansai Lai]

"Oh stop," she said with a tone that seemed to accuse him of exagerration. In truth, she liked to think that somefur believed she was beautiful. But having gone so long without being told made her doubt herself. She crossed her arms and turned to see a painting, back to him. She didn't want to show just how much she was blushing now.

He smiled at her reaction and shook his head.

"Im serious Lai, I have never seen someone as cute or beautiful as you. You have everything a fur could want in a friend, a buddy, a mate..." at his last words he froze and blushed heavily and turned his back to her, hoping she wasnt paying any attention to him at that moment...

She did catch his words and blushed a shade or so darker. Considering how he'd suddenly cut off, she figured it merely slipped. Then the bear decided to spare the both of them further pain by simply saying, "Movie should be starting soon, right?" Yes, distract them with the evening's plan

He nodded, blushing so heavily you would think he was bleeding somewhere he laughed awkwardly.

"You know, i meant it."

He said softly, turning back to the door, offering her to go first, he looked at the floor clearly embarassed, but he wanted her to know he meant what he said, she would make the perfect mate for any fur....

She didn't answer, but smiled shyly, heading out. But she tried to put that away from her mind, choosing not to look too much into the situation. But all through this, she kept smiling to keep the air between them easy.

He smiled and lead the way to the car and opened the door for her, he felt the chance to be honest with her was lost and he had made a huge fool of himself. As he got in he shook his head and smiled at her warmly, he would prefer to have her as a friend than nothing, which if he kept mucking up everything, she wouldnt be.

"I'm glad you enjoyed dinner, and I hope you like the club we're going to afterwards."

"I'm looking forward to it." Yes, back to the amiable conversation. Although...there was still the awkward feeling between them. "So how well do you dance?" She figured it would be a good piece of conversation.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He chuckled at her question and shifted slightly in his seat, becoming a little warm around the collar and dry in the maw.

"Im a pretty good dancer, i watched alot of break dancing when i was a cub and the flexibility I gained from military school help me learn alot of those kinds of moves. And you? What kind of dancing do you like?"

He earched over infront of her and opened the glove compartment to get a cd and a pack of glowsticks fell into Lai's lap.

"Military school and flexibility....seems like an oxymoron if you ask m-" she stopped talking once the glowsticks hit her lap. She picked one up and looked at him. "Prepared, aren't we?" She twirled it around in her fingers. "I can't really dance per say, hence why I only go to techno clubs. Just bouncing on your paws, swishing your hips, it's a lot easier than other dancing and no one looks foolish cause everyone is a fool." She smiled broadly.

He smiled at the thought of her hypnotically swaying to a an upbeat techno, and chuckled.

"Well then you're in luck, have you ever been to techno club called Crazy 8's on 10th street??"

[Kansai Lai]

She still twirled the little stick. "Hn? No, I usually go to Avalon on Tremont. Is your place any good?" She was getting more interested in this. She was half tempted to suggest ditching the movie and going dancing. But the bear knew that he'd been looking forward to the film and ditching wouldn't be very fair now would it? At least the action would get her adreneline pumping by the time they got to the club.

Looking at his watch and the clock in the car he slows the car a little and looks to Lai.

"Was the whole spring forward thing of daylights savings time this week?"

[Kansai Lai]

She got a little sick feeling in her stomach. "Yeah it was. ...you forgot to move your clocks, didn't you?" How was it he could pick her up at the right time but mess up the time of the movie? Maybe only some of his clocks were moved. Lai shook her head and laughed at the foolishness of it.

Blushing heavily he sighed and looked out his window and tried not to sound stupid, but smiled and raised an eyebrow and kept driving, like he was playing it off.

"Oh well, looks like we'll be dancing a little long than expected."

He drove past the theater and continue to 10th street

She laughed again at his mistake, cracking the glow stick in her paw. It began to shine a vibrant blue as she grabbed a few more and did the same with them. They'd see the film another time. For now, she concentrated on the fact that they were going dancing, getting her energy ready.

He smiled as she broke the glow sticks, he hoped she wasn't too dissapointed. When he saw her building her energy for dancing his imagination took over and he slowly sped up about 10 miles faster, not much and barely noticable.

"We are almost there, by the way, i hope you dont drink when you dance, this is a non-alcoholic club..."

[Kansai Lai]

"Pfft, who needs to drink when all the stimulus you need is right on the dance floor?" All she ever drank when dancing was water. The last thing she wanted was to pass out in a club amongst strangers.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He smiled at her reply and nodded in agreement.

"I've seen what alcohol can do to some dancers and its not pretty."

He chuckled and pulled into the parking lot. The words "YOU HAVE SLIPPED INTO A NEW DEMENSION OF SOUND" blaring through the speakers and through the open door. Adale hopped out of the car and leaped over to the passenger side and opened the door for Lai.

"Ready to have some fun?"

"You bet your ass," she laughed. She handed some of the glow sticks to him, several hanging off of her. Once they were inside it was a slow build to her dancing. Her hips ticked back and forth with her feet joining soon after. Then the rhythm moved through her waist, up to her arms. Soon she was twisting around like a ribbon caught in the wind.

Adale watched in awe as she swayed and moved to the music, he had never seen anyone so intune with their inner fur to just let the beat move them like she was. He joined in time with the swaying, the bouncing and eventually, the glow stick twirl...

"You really know how to move!" he shouted over the music

"Thanks," she forced herself to shout back. She was completely losing herself in the music, her eyes staying closed for minutes at a time as she rocked and pivoted. Eventually she watched Adale move as well and she smiled. He wasn't too bad himself. Lai moved a bit closer to him, enjoying the feel of the energy all around.

Watching, trying to time his movements with hers, Adale smiled as she looked him over. She looked amazing on the floor, in the lights and surrounded by the music. This was the best idea he had ever had....

She continued on dancing, her becoming matted over time with her sweat. But she loved it. Well until all the heat got to her. When the song broke, she turned to Adale. "I'm just gonna get some water. I'm dying here." She started to weave through the crowd.

Adale watched as she exited the dance floor and followed closely behind, moving and swaying to the music. As they approached the bar he smiled over at her and leaned in close.

"You are a great dancer Lai, im surprised you arent known here" he chuckled and orders to tall waters for them both

"I have the amazing ability to go unnoticed. I'm like a shadow, a ninja." She gave a little laugh as she got her ice water. Which she promptly chugged down before asking for another. One for hydration, one for cooling down. "But you know, you're not half bad yourself."

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He smiled and spoke "You know you should see me when...." he stopped speaking and blushed and looked to the bartender...

"Two large ice waters"

[Kansai Lai]

"When what? C'mon, tell me." She smiled playfully up at him, bumping into him with her him. She tried to egg him on, get out whatever he was holding back.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He blushed heavily and leaned closer and spoke something he wished he had never said as soon as it exited his lips.

"Maybe i'll get to show you later...."

[Kansai Lai]

She didn't know what to think in that moment. She knew quite well what he meant, but even tried to pretend he'd meant something else. Her ears tilted and she blushed hard, trying to put her thoughts together. "M...maybe you will," she said back weakly. The bear had decided that he was nice enough. He hadn't made her feel too uncomfortable that night. She downed the ice water when it was brought to them before grabbing his arm. "Let's go back to dancing," she pleaded, trying to remove the awkwardness between them. Once out there, she went right back to moving the way she had before. All tension was lost as she swayed and stepped...

He had stopped blushing when she spoke and followed her to the dance floor and continued moving to the music, he hoped he hadnt ruined things between them..

She kept close to Adale, even though she now realized the full extent of how he felt about her (or at least she thought she did). Over time, her steps lost their energy, slowing down over time. She ended up leaning against the lion, swaying like a pendulum.

He wrapped his arms around her and held her close as she leaned into him, enjoying the feeling of her pressed against him. He danced slowly with her and leaned down and asked her

"You ready doll??"

[Kansai Lai]

"Yeah. I'm ready to go back." She purposefully didn't specify where she wanted to go back to. If he took her home, she was fine with that. And if he took her back to his place... well she'd see what he had in store for her.

With ease he lifted her off the floor and carried her to the car and set her in the passenger seat. He climbed in and started the car. It was just after 1 in the am and he was nervous about what his next step would be. As he pulled into his driveway he opened her door and helped her out.

"Would you like a glass of wine to relax you after all that dancing?"

[Kansai Lai]

She smirked, tired and drunk on endorphins. "Well I would like to have some of that stuff from earlier if you don't mind. It was really good." she already felt relaxed, but she wanted to play the game. She stepped out and followed him inside, heart pounding a beat faster than usual

He opened the door for her and let her in, going straight to the kitchen to get the wine and two glasses. He poured one for her and one for himself and began to sip on it, his shirt unbuttoned and open, laying around his well muscled chest as he breathed deep, relaxing quickly.

"That was a blast, we should definitely do that again soon"

[Kansai Lai]

"I agree." She couldn't help but stare at his chest as she drank. It took a few tries for her to finally tear away, looking at everything else in the room.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He caught a glimpse of her looking at his chest and grinned shyly to himself and scooted next to her, letting the shirt trail behind him, he sipped his wine and held up his glass to toast with her.

"To a most excellent night"

[Kansai Lai]

Her heart jumped as he moved in closer. She was nervous now, but she certainly wasn't going to run away. Lai clinked her glass against his. "And many more to come." She took a gulp of the wine. The bear had never been taught proper wine etiquette.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

Grinning he downed his wine and sat back against the couch and looked over his shoulder at her, she was almost too cute for him to control himself, he leaned over and gently licked her cheek and whispered...

"I had a blast Lai...i hope you dont mind if our evening continues...."

[Kansai Lai]

She hadn't expected a lick (so soon). She played it a little more coy, glancing over at him, looking him straight in the eye. "Well Adale...what did you have in mind?" Lai set her glass aside, ready for his next move.

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

He smiled and leaned back against the arm of the couch, his upper body displayed openly to her, he hadn't expected tonight to go so well so he really didnt know where to go from there, it had been ages since he had had sex and even longer still since he was the one doing the seducing...

"I didnt mean to lick you..." he blushed, "Well I did...i just....I like you Lai. I've never met someone with your energy, your aura and its hard to resist..." he lounged back and sighed, he should have waited, but he really could not have helped himself...

[Kansai Lai]

She thought for a moment. Lai didn't consider herself a girl who'd go to bed on the first date. Then again, she never met a guy like Adale before. She could have left then. She could have left at any time that night. But she simply could not bring herself to do so. She came to a decision.

"So why bother resisting?"

[Adale The Alpha Lion]

"Cause you are a nice girl...i dont wanna make you think im out just to get laid or anything..." he was surprised he was talking so calmly and fluidly about this with her, "I do have some rather strong urges right now," looking down at his lap he blushed and looked back at her and smiled, sitting up now, face to face with her, "I just...." he couldnt speak anymore and leaned forward and kissed her....

Lai didn't resist or push him away. She simply melted into the kiss, returning it even. When they broke away for breath, she whispered, "You can give in to those urges. I won't stop you. I trust you." A blush creeped into her cheeks as she said that, heart pounding away.

Taking her paw into his, he leaned forward and kissed her again, nodding and smiling.

"You know, this may get kinda crazy..." he said with a wink before gently kissing down the side of her neck....

[Kansai Lai]

She had no idea what he meantby 'crazy,' but when he started kissing her neck, all coherent words were stopped. All she could let out was a small noise, illustrating how good it felt. Lai could happily take whatever he woud dish out next...
