Old and new friends

Running around on all fours a female siberian tiger would stand in the feilds of tall grasses looking for new people or her friends to play with. Thick braided hair had the tall grasses stuck in it along with some cattail weeds, which stink trying to lick them out. Letting out a soft but loud roar she'd hope someone would hear it and come and see where the roar came from.

The tall grey roo's ears perked up as he heard the sound of some creature calling in the distance. It wasn't a threatening sound, more a curious sound, as if it were inquiring, "Is there anyone out there?".

Hopping a few meters and then stopping short, he leaned forward, balancing himself with his large roo tail and sniffing the air. The scent was wild, exotic, tinged with the scent of the local grasses, flora and fauna. Then he smelled it. Tiger! Curious, yet wary, he hopped forwards a few meters more, hiding behind a large tree and checking out the shape that moved through the field ahead of him.

Kelly'd prop herself up on her hind legs letting her stand that full 7 feet as she wiggled a long thick black and oranged tail behind her as those green emrald eyes looked around. Twitching..Someone was out there. Taking a long sniff into the air she let out a yell "I'm here! I promise I don't bite!"

She sighed softly as she knelt down trying to make herself appear smaller and possibly less threatening..I mean come on, would you wanna come across a 7 foot tall tiger with massive paws and teeth as sharp as any blade made for..Well..Ripping? She sighed once more hopiong that someone would come keep her company.

[Zidders]

The roo raised an eyebrow. A tiger not biting? That was like...well..a roo not hopping! Still, he could tell from her scent (for by the sound of the voice, it was indeed a she) that she wasn't agitated, or in a fearfull state. He sensed curiousity above all...and that piqued his curiousity as well. He hopped forward, a little overbold but it had been a long time since he had seen anything else on the plains, and he figured heck-you only live once, right?

So, hoping that fortune would indeed favor the brave, he hopped over until he got within a few feet of the creature. She was strikingly beautifull, with emerald green eyes that sparkled even in the suns fading light. Sniffing a little more, he tried his best not to let his voice quaver too nervously as he said "Hello...i'm..i'm Zid...who are you?"

She did bite but only playful like..She'd never hurt someone unless someones life was in danger or somesort. She'd stand up to her fully height as the roo introduced himself. "Hi there Zid..I'm Kelly. Nice to meet you." She'd put a paw out and it wasn't just a small paw it was rather large but her claws where retractable so they where harmless.

She smiled some as her braided hair fell below her shoulders with weeds and the tall grass all mixed into it. She also had a feather hanging from the top riight of her head near her ear. "I've never met a Kangaroo before...I love your feet...Do you think you could show me how to hop like you guys do?"

[Zidders]

Zid stood in numb shock as the tiger put her paw out. She was tall...ye Gods, was she tall! but there was also something disarming about her smile and the mischief in her eyes. He put his paw put, offering it to the large feline, expecting it to be crushed. Therefor, he was surprised when she took his paw and gently shook it.

"Hi...it's very nice to meet you. The feet? Oh, hehe yes, they are quite large, arent they? Well, I don't know about hopping..we're designed for it, you see, but we could give it a go." With this, he grins, thinking that the sight of a hopping tiger would be something to see.

"You see...all you need to do is crouch low to the ground, and then spring yourself forward. THen, put your feet out ahead of you and kind of...roll...with the flow of your momentum, then spring forward again."

He stifled a chuckle as he watched the tiger tilt her head to the side.

She laughed some as she looked at the Roo's expression. She tapped ehr forehead for a moment as she took in what he said. "All right..I think I got this." Stepping away from him she'd run forwards some and leap herself into the air..little did either of them know Tiger's have amazingly strong limbs and can leap about 8 feet.

She'd land...But it wasn't exactly fun..Her right leg had hit a rock and managed to mess up her landing..Now she basically did a belly flop right onto the tall grasses..She'd basically poof..Before she popped her head up as she laughed..A nice little cloud of dandy lions where crushed under her and the seeds went everywhere..Including her nose.

After sucking in some of the dandy lions seeds into her nose she'd let out a loud sneeze..Making the grass bend. "Oh dear.." She couldn't help but laugh at her own fault.

[Zidders]

Zid couldn't help but laugh. The tiger had made a great leap, and if the rock hadn't of been there, she would have landed fine. She had made a spectacular effort, and he was surprised at just how far she had leapt. It wasn't quite the forty-foot distance that he could get when he was at full-speed hop, but it was impressive for so large a creature.

Zid hopped over to where Kelly lie in the dandelions, sneezing and snuffling a few times himself as the seeds went up his snout. Holding out his paw, he offered it to her in order to help her up. "That was awesome! I never realized a creature like you could imitate a kangaroo!" He grinned.

She laughed at his comment as she used his paw to get up. There was a large dent in the grass where she had landed. "Well, I don't think I did very well and now my tummy hurts." She laughed even more as she kelt down some.

"it was fine till I landed on my face and not my feet.." She looked down to her footpaws and shook them a little. "Well, I guess it's in my abilites, since tigers are hunters and whatnot..i thought of it like stalking pray, ya know? Leap once and grab on with your claws then...Haha, I should hush." She giggled some as she pulled out a cricket in her furr

[Zidders]

Well, I take comfort in the fact that we roos are notoriously tough and chewy and NOT standard tiger fare. Chuckling again, he helped brush off the big cat, marvelling at the lithe figure and powerfull muscles. Sleek and smooth, with fur the color of a hunters moon and stripes as black as pitch, she was a beautifull creature. Her slitted emerald green eyes were almost hypnotic in the way that they glittered and seemed to pull him into themselves.

She'd nod as she looked at the Kangaroo helping her get the sticker weeds out of her thick furr. "It's not easy bein' overly huge..I mean I look threatening but I really like to just to make friends." Nodding firmly she'd pick out a dandy lion that managed to get in her mouth. "Yucky..These don't taste very good."

[Studley Destiny]

Flying over the grasslands from the nearby mountains where his cave was, the dragon's sharp eyes spotted the motion on the grass. Hmmm, maybe a meal was afoot. Circling closer, his shadow passed over the area where he saw the movement. Looking closer, he could swear it was a kangaroo and a tiger. Strange, the tiger did not seem to be snacking on the kangaroo. This called for a closer look. Spiraling down, the large black and grey dragon landed a short distance from the kangaroo and the tiger. Folding his wings against his back, his tail waving gently behind him, he approached the pair in his least threatening manner.

When he got close enough, he called out, in his deep and somewhat bell like voice, "Good day gentle furs."

Hearing the flapping of the wings she looked around for a moment before those deep emrald green eyes saw the furr. Waving a large paw she'd stand her full height of 7 feet tall and a rather large thick tail flowing behind her some. "How de do?" She snickered showing off those large fangs..At least three inches long for a few of them.

She looked over to the roo who had gone quiet. "My name is Kelly, what's yours?"

[Studley Destiny]

The dragon ducked his head as a manner of showing respect, then responded "I'm Studley. Very nice to meet you." He smiled, which had the effect of showing his front glittering white teeth against his black snout, and some of those teeth were easily 8 inches long. He lowered his neck so that his head was at about the same level as Kelly's, "So, are you new in the neighborhood? I don’t believe I've see you before."

She'd nod as she looked at him. "Yeap! I'm brand spanking new to this place...Though I've made a friend all ready. He tried to teach me how to hop...Then I landed on my face..." She pointed at the large indent of the tiger in the tall grasses. "I also ended up smooshing a cricket, so I feel kinda bad."

She nodded some as she smiled as the feather in her hair seemed to move with the wind that seemed to come and go as it pleased.

[Zidders]

ZId looked between the two, more surprised than afraid. He had never seen a creature such as Studley. His eyes wandered over the creatures scales and across his leathery wings, stopping at the giant sharp teeth. "Hello," he said with s amile, showing off his flat half inch long teeth. "My names Zid....nice to meet you, Studley." The roo offered a paw to the great beast, figuring he might as well be cordial, as he doubted he could escape either one of them should they decide he was lunch. Besides, he didnt feel they wanted to eat him...at least, he hoped.

"Please don't eat me." He added.

[Studley Destiny]

Studley swiveled his head and lowered it to the kangaroo's level. "Very nice to meet you Zid." Since Zid was offering a paw, he picked up his from leg and very, very carefully shook the roo's tiny paw with his overly large one, moving his leg only a tiny amount so as not to inadvertently hurt this interesting grey creature. He know of kangaroos, but he'd never actually seen one before.

With a wink of his great deep blue eye, "You needn't fear sir, I never eat those who have good manners."

Looking back to the tigress, "Hmm, I think I'll pass on hoping. I'd not want to hurt some innocent creature not destined to me a meal."

She laughed slightly but nodded. "Zid is all ready an awesome furson. I don't make friends very easily...Cause well I get overly excited a lot." She'd giggle some as she plopped down on the ground. "I brought some food..I don't know what kangaroos eat but I'm having a nice juciy steak."

She'd pull out what seemed to be raw meat and started munching on it..She dug though the basket and pulled out some apples and offered the Roo some.

[Zidders]

Zid eyed the steaks, hoping they weren't anything in the marsupial family. Smiling at Kelly, he took the apples, deciding to let go of his silly suspicions. She seemed a nice enough tiger, and if the dragon had wanted to eat them, he probably would have already. Happily munching on the apples, he replied to the tiger.

"Well, I don't eat meat, I mostly eat grasses and eucalyptus leaves. Matter of fact," he said with a grin "If you let me show you something, you might enjoy the taste of the steak more. Take some of this." With this, he reaches down and grabs some of the tall grass growing nearby and hands it to the tiger. "It won't mess with your tummy, and it will add an exotic flavor to the meat. It's lemongrass."

Looking over to the dragon, he tilts his head and gives him an odd look. "Studley.....Studley....hmm.....have we met before? I can't recall having ever met a creature of your kind, but your name seems oddly familiar to me."

She looked at him as she nodded and placed the lemon grass on the slab of meat as she took another large chunk of it out and nomed on it before it slipped down her throat and down into her tummy as she purred loudly, lickin' the side of her muzzle.

"It was so nummy.." She grabbed more of the lemongrass and placed it on her meat, finishing up the steak she'd lick her paws clean. "Well I don't have any of that stuff...If I knew I was gunna meet a Roo I woulda.." She giggled some as she pulled out an apple and ate it aswell. "An apple a day keeps...Well keeps me healthy."

[Studley Destiny]

Studley watched the interchange between his two new acquaintances.

When the tigress sat down, he followed suit, carefully folding his legs and settling his large body on the ground. The tip if his tail gently waved from side to side, almost like that of a contented cat.

Zid asked if they'd met before, so he gave the only answer that made sense, "Possibly, I get around a lot, and, well, with as many people as I meet, sometimes I forget a face, or a name, or a scent."

Suddenly, he screwed up his snout, "Ah, ah, ah, …" and turning quickly to the side away from the roo and the tigress, "CHOO!" He sneezed, accompanied by a gout of flame that singed a cone of grass 60 feet long, and nearly that wide at its furthest. Turning back to the two furs, "Excuse me. Must be something in the air."

The tigeress would laugh slightly as she saw the dragon sneeze some as she wiggled her thick long tail behind her. "Bless you!" She nodded some as she ate the apple to the core and put it back in the basket she had brought into the feilds. "It was probably when you sat down..Lots a dandy lions around here."
