So, I'm going to be building a computer this summer, and I've been looking at various CPUs, mothorboards, etc. I'm particularly excited about the Intel i7, with its triple-channel memory, 8 virtual cores, and exceptional overclocking abilities.

What I want to know, is peoples' opinions on a couple of ASUS motherboards, when paired with the Intel i7 2.66 GHz CPU (which will be overclocked, obviously). The first is the "ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard (Retail)", which can support up to DDR3 2000 MHz memory, though not 1066 MHz.

The other is the "ASUS P6T Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard", which is open box, but contains an additional RAID controller (which might be helpful considering I'm going to be using two HDs in a RAID 0 strip), in addition to being about $80 cheaper.

So yeah ... that's my question. Thoughts? Opinions? There's more I could post about this, but I have a math class now. I'm hoping to read your responses when I get back from class. ^_^
