Laying back in the sun, wings spread wide, a deep sigh escapes the lips of the black-scaled dragon, contented to lay on the beach in the sands. It was such a nice day outside... The warm sun heating his hide, warming the fire within him still further. The gentle crash of the surf nearby. The sounds of kids playing, and their adult caregivers giving small lectures. I really like this beach.... The dragon thinks to himself. He looks over and chuckles as he sees a few parents scolding their kids for being about to go and bother him. He shifts a bit, getting more comfortable and getting his swim trunks to lower a little further on his hips. He would have preferred a nude beach, but this one works out. Furries and Humans all coming out together to enjoy a day of sun and surf happily. With one more sigh, he closes his eyes and stretches his wings, determined to catch as much UV as he can.

"Watch were you're running!" the pizzly she-bear shouted at the little cub trying to catch a frisbee. Though the little one still caught it, he tripped over the sunbathing dragon as well. Lai ran over, dressed in a dark one piece. Picking up the cub and slinging him over her shoulder, she said, "I'm so sorry about that. You ok?"

The Dragon makes a small sound as the cub runs him over, then laughs at the question, gently brushing a bit of sand off his glittering scales before smiling to the young lady with a nod. "Of course, I'm fine. My hide's more than tough enough to handle anything like that. Though I suppose I should at least tell the kid to be a bit more careful." He smiles, laying back down with a small sigh. Such a nice day... and such a nice beach...

"Alright. Sorry about that again." Still carrying the wriggling ball of fur, Lai returned to the spot where the rest of their family waited, telling him to pay more attention next night. After giving him off to their parents, Lai headed to the surf, deciding a swim might be nice.

Flying for hours now, Anon was getting very bored. He decided since he was near a coast that he would visit a beach, he had not been to it for a century or better. Residing in the desert for so long alone has had it's drawbacks though he loved his solitude, it inevitably gets lonely. Picking up the scent of the sea he made for the coast, a few minutes later the golden swath appeared. He decided to swing in fairly low, not low enough to startle any one on the beach if there were many humans there.

Being cautious was natural to him, not because he feared humans. Just the opposite really, a dragon his age was very rare. And with age comes size, he was not an exception. Just short of 100 feet in length, he did not want to scare any one or mis land and smash any one. Being as large as he is, around others he felt burdensome at times.

On his first pass he did notice quite a few humans and furrys, and was surprised to even see a dragon in their midst. Relief swept through him, he would not feel like such a stranger then if there was another draconian there. Even so as he descended even lower and swept a dozen or so feet above the waves, he sought a large space of empty beach to land as he arced widely turning back tword land. He brought himself to a halt above the sand, spreading his massive wings wide casting a shadow that streatched far and wide. With a few beats his feet touched down, sinking into the sand and folded his wings inward.

His scales very polished and glossy from the sand of his home, and ranged in color from brilliant blue, light blue to aqua blue in color. His pupeless eyes quickly adjusting to the refracting light from the water, he too a deep breath of the sweet salty air.

From out in the water, Lai watched with fascination as the dragon flew in. Some of the beach goers didn't look too happy at the wind he was kicking up as he landed, but the she-bear enjoyed it. She envied flyers sometimes. But for now, she just kept swimming, enjoying the feel of the water through her fur.
