A man looked over the vast, barren land. At a time, there was a feirce battle here. A legend goes along with this battle. The legend of the Demon King. The man smiled, recalling the old legend.
"Sir! The humans... they found us. It's only a matter of time before the Angels find us." a demon said, looking up at the dark figure.
"Very well" came the gruff reply. "Let them come."
"Sir?"
"I said, let them come" the figure shot back.
"Yes, sir" the demon said hastily and retreated into the shadows.
"Today, is a day marked in blood" it said, rising from the throne and disappearing. He couldn't wait for them to find him. He appeared in a vast landscape, dotted with trees. "Ah." he said hearing the marching of the humans. "So be it" he said taking a defensive pose. Sure enough, the human army came over the hill. "This is where I lose everything." he said.
"Charge! He's alone!" the human commander shouted. The other humans cheered triumphantly. They had him beat a million to one.
The Demon King smerked. "That's how it is then." he said charging at them aswell. He ripped the humans out of their armor as if he was swatting flys off his arm. "Where's your God now?" he laughed. The sky darkened, not with clouds, but with Angels.
"There's your answer, Demon" one human managed to choke out before his head was removed.
The ground rumbled. From every corner of the feild, a demon appeared.
"Ah, my army" he said with a wild grin. The demons cheered and turned to face the Angels. In an instant, Hell broke lose on the Angel army. Several of them were bruned out of the sky by fireballs.
The Demon King turned back to the human army. "Is that the power of your God?" he asked with mild humor. The humans shrank back. "Ah, running now, are you?" he asked charging into the mass. They lost sight of him after that, the only reconiction that he was there was the bloody screams of the dead and dying. A head rolled to the human leader. It was only a short time later that the leader's head came off itself. The humans turned chaotic without their leader. They turned and ran from the feild, leaving the Demon King laughing behind them. He turned back to the Angel amry, it had been halved. So had his army. It was an even match. That wasn't important though. The Elven Queen appeared before the Demon King.
"Are you satisfyed, Demon?" her heavenly voice asked.
"Yes"
"Then, I grant you this. The amout of bloodshead here has tainted the ground, and the animals. So, you shall pick and animal, and imbody it." she said.
"Very well. I chose the wolf" he said.
The Elven Queen waved her hand and the Demon King turned into a wolf, only he could stand on two legs and use his paws like hands and feet.
"What is this?"
"My curse on this land."
The Demon King frown, then smiled. "I see it more as a gift." he said. The other demons started to turn into animals, so did the Angels, and the humans.
The man smiled. The legend was only half as good as what really happened. The Demon King wasn't quiet that nice. The man looked up, hearing footsteps.
"Sir?"
"What?"
"The humans. They have come to sign a treaty"
The Demon King laughed. It would of happened even if the Elven Queen didn't give them this gift.
