Right, an attempt to bring my very own furry story to life. Let's hope it works. Please, no insane elite para RP'ing. I seriously can't pull that off... Let's keep things simple but enjoyable.

Element Hearts (EH) plays in a fantasy-realism setting, much like you would find in certain RPG's (Role-Playing Games). There is a focus on nature, though there are towns and several larger cities, certain ruins from an ancient extinct race (the Siva), and so forth. The world is generally in a semi-medieval state as far as technology goes, though there is some electricity-based technology around. Though let's try to avoid guns, airships and the like, alright? This isn't a sci-fi RP. ^^

So why is it called Element Hearts? It's quite simple. See, the planet this setting plays on is called the Geosphere, where many furs/scalies and such dwell as the dominant race. These creatures all have the power to use Elements, drawn from within themselves. When such a skill is used, the area of their heart lights up with the corresponding colour of the Element used, after which the skill is used. These skills can have any number of effects. From healing, to attacks, to knocking someone off their feet, to charming them, to being able to decypher ancient text... you name it. Revival of the dead, however, is not possible (explained below).

The Elements listed:

-Fire
-Water
-Wind
-Earth
-Frost
-Thunder
-Forest
-Explosion
-Metal
-Gravity
-Holy
-Dark
-Love
-Knowledge

Furs themselves have no innate weakness or strength against any Element, despite the ones they can or cannot use (getting hit by a firebolt will hurt, no matter what). Elements can, however, be used to negate or strengthen other Elements. There are many different ways and situations where this can happen, so try to use your imagination, within your character's current Elemental abilities.

When two or more users can use the same Element, a team skill can be used. These are generally more powerful, though they sap energy a lot faster, and tend to be slower and more difficult to cast.

It is believed that for each individual, the three Elements they can use are decided within the womb, regardless of the parents' Elements. One of these Elements can be used right away (though one might wish to learn to control it, if one decides one wishes to use Elements), the other two must be trained in order to be unlocked, sometimes requiring certain "triggers". Because of this, there are a select few who believe that the second and third Elements are decided by the individual's life experiences rather than chosen randomly in the womb. This theory is widely regarded as nonsense and has never been proven.

There is an afterlife, a realm of spirits of those passed away, almost like a parallel world to the Geosphere. Contact between the two worlds is rare, and interference from the spirit realm even more so (with the exception of godly avatars appearing at certain temples and shrines), though there have been cases where such a thing has supposedly happened. For now, though, the afterlife remains largely shrouded in mystery. There has been one man, whose name is unknown, who had been researching a way to use Elements in such a way to bring back a chosen soul from the afterlife into the physical world just as they were before they perished, however this is considered highly unnatural and illegal, thus research has generally been dropped.

Elements are required for the Geosphere's survival. All over the world, one finds transparent shimmering and moving Elemental Strands, that seemingly have no substance. These have colours of the Elements abundant in the area. If strands are greyed out, have no shimmer are remain stationary, there is a disturbance in the Elemental Balance in that area. Too much disturbance could potentially throw the planet into chaos and eventually lead to its demise. As such, the Dragon Goddess Vanaashi occasionally accepts to train gifted individuals that wish to protect the balance, at any chosen temple. These warriors are called Geodrakes, named after the Geosphere and the goddess herself.

This story is about one of those Geodrakes, who freshly finished his training with the Dragon Goddess.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside his room of the hut, which was located deep within the northwestern jungles, the young Geodrake was packing his backpack for a journey. He had received Dragon Goddess Vanaashi's blessings earlier that day, after managing to best her in combat high above the jungles in an old temple built in her name. It was something that naturally excited him, as he was now finally an official Geodrake, something he was wanting to become for quite a while now.

He picked up an imageframe depicting his mother, the kind lady squirrel who adopted him and raised him as her own. He smiled softly, his finger tracing the semi-aquatic substance. He was ready.

Staralfur carries a large drinking horn on his waist, along with several hunting tools and other practical equipment.

Weapon(s) of choice: Staralfur carries his father's Bastard sword, engraved with Nordic religious symbols. The sword is a family heirloom, and he has lovingly dubbed it; "Kulden Hjertet" meaning Cold Heart. Star is extremely well-trained with this weapon, one of the best swordsmen in the realm. He also has a number of hunting knives, but prefers to not use them in combat.

Elements: Frost (extremely skilled and resourceful), Wind (unfamiliar), Metal (not yet discovered)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Staralfur Krigen stood on the cliffside overlooking the small forest town, surrounded by snow covered mountains. Star had traveled from the freezing tundra of his homeland, much colder than on these virgin mountains. The cool wind's frantic fingers ruffled his fur. He started walking along the long winding path towards the village, as soon as he exited the snow-line he would make camp. Tomorrow he would make the trek to the small village, find a tavern, and bunk there for a few weeks. After that he would continue his way towards the Capital.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Since the day he was born the lion was consided a young genious with born with the natural ability of knowledge. He was considered a young scholar and could have gone far in the capital but decied to be a geodrake instead. Even though he entered late for his age he ended up graduating and passing the test to become a Geodrake a few weeks before. He knew Eledhwen for a while now and considered him one of his best frineds.
Georgio walked to his friend Eledhwens hut and looked in "hey their Elie ready to head out?, ya know i waited all these weeks for you to catch up to me haha, remember your promised i could travel with you" He walked in and sat down looked at him wondering what he was thinking.

Eledhwen chuckled as he walked around the room, filling the backpack with more things. "In all fairness, dear G, my test was slightly more challenging than filling in a few exams. I had to best a Dragon Goddess, of all creatures, in combat." He smiled warmly as he teased, knowing the tests differ for every fur. "Though yes, I remember...and I think I'm just about ready." And with that, he sealed his backpack and hung it over his shoulder.

Wandering outside to the porch, he looked around as if trying to determine which way to go. He finally settled on the southeast, pointing towards it. "That's probably the best path to follow right now. It leads to Geo, ancient Siva ruins being used as a city and a centre of commerce for the northwestern jungle areas. Perhaps we could find some Geodrake work there."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mahghie sat on a low branch off the side of the trail. She had taken a short break was getting ready to start again. This was her chance, freedom from the boring life of the village had to offer her. SHe was headed into the capitol to find a new life and to improve her skills. She had already surpassed the healing teachings from her old master, and wanted to help others with her gift.

((Hope you don't mind if I have a stab at roleplaying with you.))]

Name: Luc
Age: 19
Species: Black Ram
Build: Slender, Lithe
Height: 5'6
Weight: 130lbs

Appearance: Entirely black fur coats him from ear-tip to hoof. Deep brown horns curl from the sides of his head; not just a single pair but double horns, though the frontmost ones are smaller. His eyes appear almost black, though are in fact simply a very deep brown.

Attire: Luc wears only simple clothing, and what others might regard as odd or even tasteless. Bearing nothing on his chest, he wears what may be described as half loin cloth, half sideless skirt on his lower half. The colour of this is a faded white.

Weapon(s) of choice: A simple dagger tucked into the waist of his garments is all that the ram carries. In tricky situations he could certainly deliver a harsh kick with a hoof.

Elements: Love (skilled), Holy (budding skill), Dark (Unaware of)

---

The backpack was heavy... With food, of course. What else was any satchel good for but carrying food around? The ram rummaged around inside said bag, finding a handful of grapes within and happily popping them into his mouth. He knew that he would need to stock up soon... What was a day with out least five meals?
The ram himself was sat in the middle of the trail, small, stubby tail quivering against the ground as he poured over the contents of his satchel.

Ah, but that was right. He needed to reach the capital. There, there'd be plenty of food.
Unlike others, he'd not taken any tests to earn the title of Geodrake. He'd be going to - really! Just... tests and things seemed... kinda hard. He wasn't sure that he was ready to face any great evils, or anything like that. He didn't claim to be a natural fighter and was more likely to run away from scary things than face them. However, if someone else happened to be in trouble, he simply couldn't turn his back on them - and that was when he would fight.

Ears flicking, Luc detected a sound that caused him to shuffle around on the spot, facing the opposite direction. It appeared that someone- no, two people... were exiting the nearby hut he'd discovered within the thick jungle, and now lay only meters away.

Staralfur walked at a steady pace down the trail. He had hiked down from the mountains into the dense jungle below, and now he realized there was one thing he had not planned for during his trek; Heat. Star had to take off his coat, padded vest, and undershirt to make the sweltering temperature even remotely tolerable. (leaving his massive chest and arms bare) Staralfur had grown up on Glaciers and Ice Shelves, his body was made for extreme cold. This heat was something new for him, Star had never been in an environment with air warmer than his own body. He was sure that the locals would find this normal, something he would have to get used to. He suddenly saw (through a break in the foliage) a small hut on a grassy knoll not two hundred meters away. That must be the first residence before the main body of the small village. He set off towards it at an optimistic pace, snapping twigs and loosening rocks; making quite an audible clamor in a forest where all that was to be heard were bird calls and other such fauna.

Mahghie climbed up a little into the trees, more comfortable traveling out of sight, and there was usually fruit up in the wild trees of the forest. She worked her way above the trail, noticing that there was a small hut with two furs leaving it and a few gatherring around it. She dropped down to being right above the others, listenning in a little before introducing herself.

Eledhwen closed his eyes as the mention of his mother. "...I told you before. Mum died of a poisonous illness caused by an Elemental unbalance caused in an area she visited. That's the main reason why I became a Geodrake..."

His eyes opened again as he nodded quietly and began padding in the direction they had decided, all the way to Geo. Quite a trip, but do-able from their current location. Also, blissfully unaware of the others in the nearby area, distracted by his focus on what he had to do. Boy, is he in for a scare...

The lion nodded and listened "i know, i was at here funeral like you were but its always nice to say goodbye, but i understand if you dont want to" He smiled and started to walk behind him as his ears perked up as he looked behind him. Georgio felt someone elses eyes on them as they talked and looked around, he felt they didnt mean any harm, their was no feeling of bloodlust but more curiosity "whos their?"

The ram clambered up to his hooves as he heard one of the approaching people speak out loud, swinging his backpack around onto his back. He realised that it was never a good thing it remain silent, in case he should be suspected of anything... undesirable. Black ram... horns... It didn't always go down well with the more superstitious of furs.

'Hello.' He called out, taking a few small steps forward. 'Don't worry about me... I'm just travelling through.' Though they were not entirely in his view, the ram bowed courteously, ears flicking. Whoever they were, the one who had spoken up did not sound like an enemy. With that in mind he was quite happy to speak out - he was not a particularly nervous or timid creature by any means.
