The cuddle Cabin

[Dream]

These are the rules:
-No godmodding (should be obvious)
-Nothing innapropriate (if this one is a success than the adult version shall be posted in the other thread)
-No flaming (you'll understand what I want soon here)

Instructions:

Simply put, This is a cabin, located deep within the woods. The cabin is built with a fire place, a kitchen, and 2 bedrooms with a restroom and a large livingroom. The electricity in the house only is within things battery powered(Boombox's, handhelds, cell phones, basic objects). When you enter, you enter from the outside obviously, wondering around when you find it, and entering in your way (for good intentions or bad such as curiousity or thievery). I shall be the forces of nature that may make certain characters respond in a certain way, but nothing crazy, just possible weather changes.

I shall start to show how this begins.

Dream wondered around the foggy woods, dirty from his journey through the woods. "*Sighs* where am I...I've been wondering for hours." he trips over a log and gets up, dusting himself off. "ugh...that hurt a bit. *looks up* Is that a log Cabin?" He walks towards the log cabin and enters, "Hello? Anybody here?...." there's dead silence. "Guess it's abandoned...*lays down on one of the couches*"

Temo walks through the woods, following his nose, going where his feet take him. He comes upon a clearing with a log cabin sitting in the middle. The cabin looking a little unkempt. Curious, he walks up onto the porch and to the door. Knocking on the door and hearing no one approach and the door slowly squeaking open from him knocking on it, he believes the cabin to be empty.

After a couple of weeks of wandering and thinking this would be a good place to rest for a few days, Temo pushes the door the rest of the way open and peers inside. Not seeing anyone, he enters and looks around. Seeing the riverstone fireplace and chimney on one end of the room. He wanders around and finds the kitchen. Looking through the cupboards finds a can of coffee grounds. Starting a fire in the stove and putting a pot of water on to boil, he goes outside and circles the cabin. Finding a pile of firewood, he takes an armload inside and refills the wood bin next to the stove. Waiting for the coffee to boil, Temo looks through the kitchen for some food.

ridley walks into a clearing, suddenly on alert but then relaxes at seeing it is only a small cottage, and seeingas how he has slept on a rock for the past week or so decides to see if anyone's home

[Temo]

Hearing footsteps on the porch, Temo looks from the cupboard full of canned food to the door and sees a much larger black and grey wolf with a pack hanging on his back appear at the still open door. Not sure if he is a friend or foe, says "Hello."

Honey sighed in exhaustion as she came to a clearing in the woods. All this walking, and she seemed to be getting nowhere. She smiled to herself when she saw the wolf-dragon on the porch of the cabin. Maybe he can help me, she thought hopefully as she approached him. "Hey!" she called as she ran towards him.

*hearing two greetings in different directions made the wolf's head spin so he waved to the kinkajou and ask to go inside the cabin

[Temo]

Temo replies to the wolf-Dragon, "Yeah, come on in. Coffee?"

*eyes widen* yes please!

Honey followed the wolf-dragon into the cabin. She smiled at the black wolf. "I'd like some coffee too, please," she requested.

[Temo]

Locates 3 cups and after making sure they are clean, fills them with coffee and hands one to the large wolf and one to the Kinkajou. Taking the third for himself, "Hi, I'm Temo. Welcome."

"I'm Honey," the kinkajou introduces herself as she accepts the coffee. "Thank you."

[Temo]

"Your both welcome." Sips some coffee then gently making a circle using the cup to point around at the cabin, "Do either of you know who's cabin this is? It was empty when I arrived, and looks like it has been empty for a while."

[Temo]

"No, it's not mine. I stumbled upon it just ahead of you. Only long enough to get the coffee going." Glances around for a moment, "I haven't had a chance to fully check the place out yet."

well mabye we can help!! *looks at honey* well mabye I can help becasue i shouldnt speak for her

[Temo]

"Sure, you could help. There is some food in the kitchen. I was about to make some dinner, but if you want something edible, someone else better cook. Then I was going to chop wood and refill the bins and anything else that needed doing as thanx for the use of the cabin." Temo ponders for a couple of moments, "And just hang out for a while, resting and relaxing with a roof over my head and something softer than the ground under me while I sleep."

*nods* uhh is there any fish? i can do wonders with some fish and spices!

[Temo]

"I don't know. I haven't checked all the cupboards." Points towards the kitchen with his now empty cup, "Have at. I'll go see about some more wood before it gets dark. And get a fire going in the fireplace." Temo sets the cup down and proceeds to head outside. Glancing at Honey, "There's more coffee in the pot."

Honey looked a little concerned. She glanced around at the other people. How did they seem so at home in a place that was not theirs? "We're trespassing," she said simply. She didn't want to ruin the fun or anything, but she did not feel comfortable rooting around someone's home and raiding their cupboards when they were not home.

well this IS on a reservation at least thats where i started hiking and i know it was fenced so im pretty sure i didnt leave it, so my guess this is either for the hikers or a wardens cabin and i know all the wardens so they wont mind if i used it! hell ive saved almost all of their lives at least once!!

[Temo]

*Temo returned with an armload of wood and placed the wood in the wood bin next to the fireplace. He then started placing kindling the grate and then stacked some larger pieces on top of the kindling.

Temo then went back outside and returned with another armload of wood and a handful of dryed moss. After placing the wood into the bin, he stuffs the moss under the kindling and finding some matches on the mantle, starts the fire.

Temo looks up at the others and seeing the concern in Honey's eyes, and missing the conversation as he was out chopping wood, he asks "What's wrong?"

Honey listened to the wolf's explanation. "Okay, well if they don't mind-" She glanced over at Temo when he spoke. "Oh, nothing." she said with a shrug. "I was just wondering who lived here and if it was okay for us to be here."

[Temo]

Temo glances at the fire making sure it takes, then looks back to Honey, "I've been wondering the same thing. I figure that if we leave the cabin in the same or better state then the way we found it and leave some sort of payment for the food, they won't mind too much."

[prettylilpup]

"Yeah," Honey said, rather appeased now. "That sounds like it would be fine." She watched the fire as it grew.

well how would we pay for the food? i mean i dont have any money on me do you?

[Temo]

"Not enough. I usually do work for room and board. Find something that needs repairing. Fill the wood bins."

[prettylilpup]

"I have money," Honey replied, rubbing her hand against her wallet through her pocket. "I don't carry much with me, but I have some. I don't mind doing work either."

[Temo]

"Good, you can find something to do or help out. I noticed some shingles needing replacing. Tomorrow, I will look for tools and supplies to see about doing some roof repair. For now, dinner and a good nights sleep is in order."

[prettylilpup]

"Sounds like a good plan," she said with a smile.

[Temo]

*Returns smile*

*Turning back to the fire and placing a couple of split logs onto it*

Turning back around* "Ridley, anything edible in the kitchen?"

*calls back* yeah! i found some fresh salmon and some wonderful spices!! *delcious aromas of cooked fish drift into the rest of the cabin from the kitchen*

[Temo]

*Stomach growls at the aromas drifting from the kitchen throughout the cabin*

*laughs* now dont try any funny stuff!!! its not done yet!!!

[Temo]

*Raises eyebrow* Funny stuff??

*Goes in search of plates and silverware to set the table with*

*shrugs* you know....trying to take sme b4 its done, trying to eat it now....that kind of stuff idk im just messing around a lil right now so idk/c

*rolls eyes ang teasingly punches the other wolf in the shoulder* u r too funny!!! o hey the fish is done hold on a sec!!! *walks out of the kitchen with a plate of several cooked salmon, the delicious scent wafting throught the house* here have one u guys!

OW *in mock pain rubbing opposite shoulder that was punched*

*Looks at salmon, mouth watering* mmmmmmmmmmmmmm *as Temo breaths in the aroma*

*laughs* well dont just stare at it! try one! *grabs a plate and slides a fish onto it, hands that plate to temo* here eat

*Takes plate and sits at table and waits for Ridley and Honey to sit down to dinner*

*brings some more plates and some silverware he found in a drawer* well i think this fish looks great what do u think? i personally feel we need more than just fish for the meal i think i saw some corn in a cabinent hold on ill be right back

[Dream]

After hours of sleeping, Dream awakens and looks around, "Whoa...where did all these people come from? ...how exactly did I even get here again?" He looks around and then sits up, headtilting as he looks around once more.

WEATHER: BEGINNING TO RAIN, VERY WINDY

Dream looks out the window and sighs as he sees rain trickle down the window, "ugh...guess I'm staying here some more...wonder if there's any food." He wonders into the kitchen.

slightly startled by the sudden appearance of the artic wolf ridley tenses up but forces himself to relax and say "hello there my name is ridley! would you like some fish? here come join us *motions to the table*

Honey wasn't a big fan of fish, however she picked at it without complaining. She was hungry, and thankful to have something to eat.
She looked up from eating her fish when the wolf walked up to them. "Hello," she said. "So this is your cabin?" she asked.

[Temo]

*He then looks out the window to see rivulets of rain running down the panes of glass. Looking beyond at the forest, Temo notices the tops of the trees swaying in the wind that has picked up. Glad that he had filled all the wood bins, no one will have to go out in the wet weather."

*Looking around with the sudden appearance, Temo raises an eyebrow in wonderment as to how they all missed the arctic wolf.*

"Hello, I am Temo. I hope we are not intruding"

(To Temo: It's quite fine :>. I had originally abandoned the thread...well...not on purpose, but yeah, no worries :] )

Dream sat down at the table in the kitchen and looked at Ridley, and with a growling in his stomach resopnds, "Sure thing, I'd be glad to have some fish." He smiled, though he let nobody know of his dislike of fish, mainly because he was too hungry to care.

As he ponders how so many people arrived he stops, glancing over at Honey, and with a curious look on his face, responded, "Actually no...I figured this was an abandoned cabin actually *he blinks, gazing around a bit more*. I came here for shelter cause I'm basically homeless, and well...here I am. Do YOU know who owns this cabin?"

He tilts his head then looks over to Temo. "You're not intruding *smiles*. Like I said to Honey, I have no idea who owns this place, if anything I'm intruding as well." he chuckles

*walks up out of pool. In the distance japan yells "Godzilla"* hi

Honey nodded at Dream, not having anything else to say. She quietly ate her fish.

Dino says "I'm gunna hit the hay soon ok?"

[Temo]

Halfway through his fish, a large dinosaur enters the cabin, still dripping from the rain. Temo raises an eyebrow, thinking that he had spent a bunch of tine wandering alone and then finding an abandoned cabin, it sure is getting crowded. A slight smile forms on his muzzle, it is so nice, all these new friends now. No longer lonely.

Then to the Dinosaur "Welcome. And OK."

Dino gasps a thank you before sitting in a chiar and passing out from the swim

[Dream]

Dream chuckled as Dino passed out. "Hahahaaaa waterlogged Dino!" He sets his plate aside and stands up. "There's a bedroom down the hall from what I've found. Anyone wanna help me lug him over to the bed to rest?"

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino suddenly wakes up saying "bed is good. Bed is good". He sleepily tumbles down the hall to no avail. He finally ends up upside down on an emergency radio.

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino begins to sleep talk about his adventures. About how he was frozen and woke up in a city one day. About how he had to eat his way through people that tried to kill him. About how he tried to find his way home. And about the mystical meteorite had found and what it did to him.

[Temo]

*Finishing his fish, Temo gets up and goes and turns off the emergency radio as dino had pressed the on button when he fell asleep upon the radio. About to walk a way, he then turns back and removes the batteries from the radio so that it cannot be accidentally turned back on and wake anyone up, especially the dinosaur.*

*Returning to the others, Temo then listens with some curiosity to Dino's story.*

*the wolf sadly shakes his head at the story the large dino told them*

[Temo]

Still listening to Dino's story, Temo quietly puts some water on to boil, collects the dirty dishes and washes them with the hot water and sets them out on a towel to dry.

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino just then startled all that are awake by waking up with a rawr. "awe it's still raining out side. I guess I'll have to find the good food. Be back in a few seconds," states dino as he stumbles towards the door.

[Temo]

Temo looks up startled at the rawr emitted by Dino, but relaxes when he realizes everything is ok. he watches as Dino stumbles across the cabin intending to go back out into the storm for dinner.

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino runs into the exterior wall of the cabin searching for the door. When he finds it he looks at his roomates and says, "How wants deer, fox, and rabit. They are huge yet ordinary. Hope you like it." He throws the uncooked meat on the table.

*the wolf glances at the meat, his predator instincts rising, but he quickly pushes them down, grimacing as he remembered the last time he forgot to do that* wow nice hunt man no wonder you are called the original predator umm if anyone wants me to cook their portion just tell me i dont mind either *grabs hunk of deer and rips off a piece with his teeth* damn dino you sure know how to pick em!!

[Dream]

Dream stands there, baffled by how fast this is all going, and just sits down in front of the fireplace, staring into the fire and warming up, "God it's cold in here." he said as he scooted closer.

The wind blew and made a whistle through the windows. Dream shivered and put more wood in the fire, and started to stoke it as he couldn't stop shivering.

*hands the shivering artic wolf a large quilt he found in one of the rooms*

[Dream]

"Thanks for the blanket" Dream said with a smile on his face. He shivered less now as he stoked the fire more. When finished, he curled up close to the fire and let out a soft murr, greatly enjoying the fire that kept him warm whiel the blanket helped and felt so soft.

*shakes his head at the strange events that had occured since he started hiking earlier that day*

[Temo]

Temo looks at all the fresh meat, thinking. Then asks everyone in general, "Did anyone see anything that we can store this meat in? It would be nice if we could save it for tomorrow."

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

"I can always just get more. But if u want to save it I found an old ice box at the back of the house," stated dino as he devores his piece, his teeth gleeming. "Oh thanks for the complement by the way temo."

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

"not to forget reidly(?) for his complement." said the starving dino.

[Keris Rain]

Name: Bimin
Species: Male Burmecian (sort of a Rat anthro)
Appearance: Bimin has the grey skin of his race, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is slightly shorter and thinner than the average Burmecian, which puts him at about average height for a Furre, with a wiry build. He wears cargo pants and leather banding on his digitigrade feet. His torso is covered by a leather jerkin, and a packed haversack at his side.
Objects on person: A flint and steel, along with dry tinder, bedding and dried provisions. He also carries a whittled walking staff.

A newcomer makes his way into the cabin, shaking water droplets off his hair. He notices the group inside, but seems relatively unfazed.
"Oh, hey guys. Guess you came in here to shelter as well, eh? Odd that so many of us are hiking at once, but the weather's been good recently, so I suppose it drew us out. Except for that shower, obviously, but what can you do? And it's just my luck as well, that it stops when I get in cover I mean. Still, mind if I dry off in here?" The Burmecian's chatter is near non-stop, he seems to be used supplying his own conversation. Before an answer can be given, he leans his staff against the door-frame and positions himself on the hearth rug, next to the Arctic wolf.
"Mind if I pinch a bit of that blanket? Anyway, what bring you guys out this far? And is there any more of coffee around? I noticed the aroma from outside, I have a nose for it you see, but I didn't expect so many to be here. Usually deserted out here, as I said before. Still, what can you do?"

[Temo]

Sensing a newcomer, Temo looks up at the door in time to see a Burmecian enter and start talking almost nonstop. He goes to the stove and pours the last cup of coffee and starts another pot.

He carries the coffee over to the Burmecian and hands it to him "Hi, I'm Temo and I was just wondering, heading for the next town when I came across the cabin."

Temo ponders for a moment, "It seems fate had made this cabin the focal point for many of us at this moment of time in our journies."

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

"hi. I'm Dino. Dont get on my bad side, and we'll do well," says dino.

When the dinosaur entered, Honey just wanted out. She didn't want to clearly admit that the reptile scared her, but she wanted far away from here as she could get. Since she would not stay to help with any cleaning up or helping out around the house, she pulled out a ten dollar bill, handed it to Temo and said "if you find out who the owner of this place is, give this to him to pay for what I ate." Then she quickly scampered away. She was a creature of the night, being outside would be no problem for her, rain or not.

Dino sees honey leave and barely show his sarrow of her leaving. Dino moves to the newcomer and ponders, "What exactlly brought you here? I've been coming here since a month after the big bang. Everyone was brought here by something. I almost saw the owner once. I kinda just keep watch over the place."

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino has some torn up baggie pants with a belt, and no shirt that he is wearing.
Dino carries a rock that looks from a time far gone on a neckless, a steel walking stick with the scull of a prebig bang animal, a pouch that hangs off his belt for storing, and a pointed staff for collecting meat on.

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

Dino walks around daydreaming about his old pal foxxette, wondering where she might be. Dino hasn't seen her in forever (almost literally), and is worried for her.

[Masked_Dino_Sage]

I'm going to sleep in the lake.

[Keris Rain]

"Ta," Bimin accepted the mug graciously, and carefully sipping at the scalding liquid. "I'd have preferred tea, but any warm port in a storm, eh? And fate? I'm not to sure about that myself, I rather think it was the weather, and the advance of the day, that brought us here, but if some cosmic force wants me to be here, what can I do but be here?" He seems somewhat surprised when the honey bear leaves, almost taken aback at her abrupt departure.
"I say, you don't think I offended her, do you? You can't really ever tell with these nocturnal types. And... Dino was it? That's certainly a fitting name given your, well, species and all. Have no fear, I don't want to get on anyone's bad side, particularly this far out into the woods. I've spent the last week walking out here, I usually spend about a month in these parts this time of year. It's a little odd we haven't run into each other before, if you've been coming here so long I mean. And..." He leant towards Dino, almost conspiritorially, "You don't mean the big bang, do you? The one that started it all? Because, if you did, that would be no mean feat. Unless you meant some other "big bang" of course, which would make a lot more sense but be far less interesting, wouldn't it?"

"I ment the big bang. I know I don't look it but itvis true. And I don't usually come at this time of year. I'm kind of sorry we haven't met yet," sighed Dino.

*A bit surprised at her sudden desire to depart and seeing a hint of fear in her eyes as they occasionally would glance at the dinosour, Temo tentatively takes the money that Honey offered. At the moment, not sure how he would go about giving it to the owner.*

"Goodbye Honey, It was a pleasure meeting you. May our paths cross again."

*Temo watched her leave, a bit sad that a new friend had to leave so soon but understood the reason why. He turns back to Bimin,"

"No, she was not offended by you, or anyone else. She just needed to continue on her journey."

*Temo returns to the kitchen and checks on the pot of coffee that is brewing.*

the large wolf looks around as if coming out of a daze and looks at the new comers introducing himself Hello everyone i am ridley and im happy that we all can be her but if i see things right we might be getting a lil crowded in here! *laughs*

[Temo]

*Sipping at a cup of coffee, Temo listened to the conversations going on around the cabin. Hearing Ridley introduce himself and comment on how crowded it was getting, Temo looked around. Thinking that some would have to bunk down on the floor. He got up and started a search for any extra blankets, quilts and pillows.*

[Temo]

*Temo finds a closet full of pillows, quilts and blankets at the end of a short hall. Leaves the door open so the others can find it and checks out a bedroom which is empty. He goes in and lays down on the bed and quickly falls asleep.*

*the large wolf looks where temo went and seeing the closet goes over, grabs a couple blankets, walks back into the living room, lights a small fire in the fire place, closes the grate in case he falls asleep, makes a bed w/ the blankets and his sleeping bag from his backpack, and begins whittling a stick he was carrying*

[Temo]

*Having a nice soft bed instead of the usual hard ground and a roof over his head instead of the stars, Temo sleeps soundly and has happy dreams of his meeting new friends, both today and in the future.*

*lulled by the good food, great company, and the warmth of the fire, the large wolf drifts asleep, paws still grasping the knife and stick weakly*

[Keris Rain]

Bimin looks up as he hears the gentle sounds of snoring coming from the far room.
"Goodness, I hadn't realised it was so late. Well, this lonely Burmecian won't be going to be for a while, so how about another cup of that coffee?" His constant chatter had taken on a muted tone, as he was careful not to awaken the others. He poured out another cup, tossed another log on the fire, and then settled back, watching the flames dance.

[Temo]

Temo wakes up and lays on the bed for a few minutes and listens. There was still some quiet chatter out in the main part of the cabin. Glancing at the window shows that it is still dark outside. He lays there listening to the rain outside and the quiet chatter and drifts of back to sleep.

[Temo]

Waking up to the predawn light showing in the window, Temo quietly pads out to the main room and glances over the sleeping forms scattered about. With catlike quiet, he goes over to the fireplace and places some logs onto the still hot coals and softly blows on them until the wood catches fire.

After making sure the fire is burning and starting to warm the chill in the air, he quietly pads to the kitchen and restokes the stove and puts a pot of coffee on to heat up.
