It seems like ever since Compaq was bought by HP, they have gone down in quality severely (Not that they were a good brand to begin with, since the mid 90's they've been going downhill). I just got a compaq to work on from this chick at work, and it is hands down THE WORST laptop I have ever seen. And I thought eMachines were bad. I can't even work on this thing. Someone smashed out the USB ports so I have to use an expresscard USB adapter, which does not work with DOS in safe mode for xcopy backup. It also has one of the worst touchpads I have ever used. Now, I don't mean to offend anyone that uses a compaq, I'm just stating my general observations about this lackluster brand.
Sometimes I wonder if all this trouble is worth the little bit of money i get for it.
