((OOC: This is my first furry RP setup, so any OCC suggestions would be great, otherwise, enjoy! All fursonas welcome, I will try to keep inconsistences limited. I would prefer for your intro post to this thread, make it more than one/two lines. As I am new here, I can't access much of your profile! I need you to be very descriptive with your fursona, and how you ended up in Shadow-Whisper Gardens. Immediate OCC questions, before you post can be asked me via AIM, silverstarrfall , if I happened to ommit an important, relevant detail to your post. Now I digress, Have at it ladies and gents! ))
Shadow-Whisper Gardens is a sprawling 40-acre habbitat, located in the Rocky Mountain foothills, and lowland mountains. It's folliage is primarily massive, hundred year old pines, whose thick trunks provide shelter for a myriad of small creatures. Interspursed are smaller decidious trees, broad-leaved Maples, qwuivering Aspens, and Oak saplings. Closer to the ground, the foliage includes berry-bushes, most every species persists yearound at the lower altitudes of the foothills; However, only the sturdy elderberry and blackberry exist up the mountainside.
At the southern end of Shadow-Whisper, is the garden, for which the entire area is named. Meant to call attention to beauty of the natural floura, the wildflowers, which bloomed in great variety, was one of it's highlights. The spiraling paths of the gardens, take you through it's different partitians.
The Hedge-maze is in the very center of the gardens, if you manage to find your way through it's many twists and turns, you will reach the center, where you will find a small, crystalline pool. It's water sparkles in the sunlight, showing alternating hues of green-blue. It's depth ranges from a few inches, to nearly 30 feet. The water is clean, and fresh enough to drink, but fairly cold, if you are thinking about swimming.
The Rock Garden is east of the Hedge-maze, and runs along a long-dry riverbed, which was the offput of a Glacial melt-off. The Rock Garden, consists mostly of the Delta, where the soil, and rock that the long vanished glacier deposited there. The larger boulders are made of hard Limestone, or Quartz, while the smaller rocks are partially eroded Sandstone. The river bed itself, is dry and cracked, with deep fissures in the sandy soil.
To the west of the Hedge-maze, you find the aforementioned wildflower gardens, these natural blooms dot the foothills, often cropping up amoungst the grass knowls, like splatters of paint. They added a vibrant, colourful addition to the landscape, and the seemingly interminable sea of green grass and tree tops.
If you make your way Northwest, up onto the mountain side, you will find that snow never seems to fully melt there, even in the full summer sunlight. A lot of it is shaded by the pinetree's branches, while other areas the snow drifts are simply so thick, and deep, that even the persistant rays of sun cannot melt through them. Hidden amoungst the forrest are several small caves, housing Shadow-Whisper's larger inhabitants, though many of them, were somewhat secretive, preferring to keep to themselves.

((OOC: Below, a spefic post to my fursona, if you wish to look back at this post for locational details, read only the above ))
Redd crouched close to the ground, her tail swaying slightly, in a rhythmic motion. She dug her back claws deep into the damp soil, preparing to lunge forward. A few yards from her, a delicate blue butterfly was sunning itself on a small gray rock, it fluttered it's wings slightly as a light breeze passed over the mountainside. Redd's toungue curled to the side of her mouth, as she increased her focus, furrowing her brow as she prepared to pounce. She stuck out rather prominantly, against the lush brown and green forrest, with her bright rusty red, and black furr. The white muzzle however, made her have the appearence of just having stuck her face into a snow drift. Redd blinked, her deep blue eyes nearly the same colour as the little insect she was now stalking.
Just as Redd was about to make her move, a twig cracked behind her, and she whipped her head around, a flash of fear crossed over them when she couldn't identify the noises source.
