F2F Summer Contest - Call to all Writers and Artist!

This is a Call to All Writers and Artist of our Furry to Furry Community.

This Contest is to see your story telling and artistic abilities for the coming Summer. Have you been wanting to envision what it would be like to play Volleyball at the beach with your friends, yourself, and maybe Idesin, or Kcoar? What if your bartender at the beach party was yours truly, Pervy Sage?

Well this is your chance! Tell us that story or within a work of art!

RULES:

Make as many stories or picture that you desire. But remember only ONE can be submitted, Story OR Art. You can make both, can make 50 of each, but only ONE can be place before the judges!

This is Summer Theme! That means Beaches, Sun, Shorts, Bikini's, Heat, Pools, etc...

Artists: Each contestant must make a full-detailed (head to toe) color submission including at least one Moderator, and/or one Administrator, and the artists own personal character in a summer-themed drawing. Backgrounds are optional, but full-detail and color are mandatory. Adding your friends to the picture is acceptable and encouraged!

Before drawing, you will post here addressing which characters you are including in the drawing, and whether the drawing will be clean, violent, yiffy, and more. ~* WARNING *~ If you want to make a yiffy or violent image, PLEASE Contact the Fur FIRST and get their ok.

Writers: Each contestant must write a full story involving at least one Moderator, and/or one Administrator and the writers own personal character in a summer-themed story. Adding your friends to the story is acceptable and encouraged!

Typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins in Arial or Courier, size 12 font. Limited to 10 pages maximum.

Judges: Kcoar, Daelyhel, & FallenGrayWolf will be judging the Artists entries. While Idesin, Liavain, & Foxhound and I will be judging the Writers entries.

There will be three winners from each pool.

Winners: The winners from each pool will receive:

-Free artwork by Kcoar, Howlinger, and Daelyhel Axon. (1st Place gets First Pick)
-A free custom tail mailed to you by Mestopho. (1st Place)
-A custom title which will look like this: "F2F Summer Contest Winner" (1st, 2nd, & 3rd

Deadline: All entries into the contest must be completed by the end of July. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter. Submission will be open at the Beginning of July.

Starting from the head you'll notice it's half black and half white, and on the black side that of which starts from my head all the way down to my crotch is solid black, and this goes for my white half as well.

Looking at the head though you'll notice my ear is white and on the white side of my head you'll notice my ear is black. Now keep that aspect in mind when doing my arms and legs. On my white side of my body, and where my arm and leg are you'll make the arms and legs black, and on the black side you'll make the leg and arm white, and this also (If added) includes my tail, which is split into two colors. On the black half of my body make one part white, and on my white side of my body black.

My speacies is a Werewolf, not a anthro furry character.

Eye's
Black half of my body my eye is RED
White side the eye is BROWN

Hands, feet, and legs
My hands are like normal human hands... just hairy and clawed, my feet are four toed and my legs are canine like.

Clothing
If clothing is to be added, and if it's not much to ask I'd like to have my self cowboy out.

Light brown duster, white cowboy hat with a band added around it, and torn and holy blue jeans with a belt and buckle. the buckle having the letter H inside of it.

-He's a scenester/hipster. His common outfit is a red bandana with DROP DEAD written on it in horror-y letters and camo cargo shorts. He can be wearing a studded belt or not.
-He's about 5'3", if you add the horns he's about 5'7"-5'8"
-There are X's on top of his horns. They should always be included.
-Has an underbite. His lower teeth always show. Any additional showing teeth is optional
-Lip piercings. Snake bites
-Missing eye. Usually hair covers it, if not, a red X, eyepatch or stitched shut eyelid is suitable
-No set ear piercings. If you wanna add em, the more the merrier.

My interpretation of Behemoths are based off those of Final Fantasy Mixed with my own flair:

The first and last ones are good examples for how his facial anatomy is.

Also, I'd like to add for perosnality that Grinder is softspoken and often deep in thought. But he puts on a tough guy front. He's usually a frontman for some random furry screamo/hardcore band. I'd prefer no yiff, but teasing/slightly erotic nude is okay. Like stripteases. No full on yiff please. Grinder, unlike a good deal of anthropomorphic characters DOES NOT have a sheath. He has typical male human bits. Only lilac-ish like color like his skin.

Idesin is a very simple otter. Earthy brown fur, not a lot of distinctive markings. Creamy fur on the chest, but it dosen't have to be there.

What should be there is the purple top hat, cane, green vest, and bell-bottoms! I trust that your friend, with that information, and what she wil lknow about me and him though you, and those pics, can come up with some stuff if she wishes.

The first two are just intended to give you an idea of the size and scale of the beak, and to show the color and size of the birthmark on my left paw. The birthmark runs up to about half-way up my forearm before tapering off to a point.

Uh, aside from that I'm fairly basic. The body itself is just a typical anthro-greywolf. The fur is a very dark, warm gray. The wings are large, in the style shown in the third pic and are typically aquamarine-esque in color. My beak is midnight black and golden eyes in the style of a hawk, instead of a wolf.

Um, yea, some points about Mestopho

-She's grey, with red black and white spots. Her stomach, and paws (all the way to her elbows) are white.
-Long black bangs and red hair.
-Her tail should look like it does in the first picture. I give creative freedom for almost the whole character, except that.
-Emerald green eyes.
-She also has a collar, a choke chain, with a bell attached, something added in but not commissioned yet, heh.

I am slightly picky... ok picky about my eye color. My eyes are mixed normally... Edges can normally be blue as it gets closer to the iris it becomes green. My eyes change and something I personal love and given to my Fursona.

If wearing clothing, blue jeans and t-shirts normally, WoW shirts are a plus. If I am wearing a suit, it would be a dark brown, with a black shirt and a dark brown tie. Otherwise I will normally have a Native American based necklace and a loin cloth, if that... >.> Also a fan of Steam Punk.

Personality, if you have questions, ask. But my personality is very much Fatherly, Friendly, and at times Sage like. But when I am not serious, I can be extremely silly. At times have those that have known me over a period of time, question my sanity.

Lia has darker blue eyes as well she must have her tail as long as her body and as fluffy as the bottom picture. She adores having a very fluffy tail.

When it comes to clothing, she loves mixtures of Purples and Blacks most of all. Pants suits if dressing up. Jeans and a Tshirt to be comfortable. Will normally wear clothing, and picks on her husband for being more... showy...

The chapter thing was basically trying to not cause questions, but seem it did so... Removed... I have seen short stories with chapters, one, but there has been some I have seen. :P There has been some Prologues that are just a page or two. Thus the Chapter thing... But I removed it if it... :?

That is a very good question. That would probably be BEST. However, we do expect you to write it out on a word processor like MS Word (or if you can't afford it like me, openoffice, its free alternative) and have spelling and grammar all nice and tidy.

Sorry Fox(Bluetail) is no longer a mod. But you are more than welcome to add him to anything you might want to do. ^.^ If anything I would love to personally see not just the creators fur, but their friends within the picture and story as well. Does not just need to be character and mod/admin.

As Idesin said, we will give a e-mail that you can send the files to that the Judges will be given copies of. Just use a basic word processor program and save as a txt file and you will be fine.

We have giving it forethought, and we wanted to see everyone push themselves. This is about effort most of all. Considering you will have over a month, you will have time to polish your picture to your wishes and desire.

I personally love doing Black and White Images, can see from my gallery. But we wanted to push the members, and see what they can do. I know it can be hard when going out of your comfort zone as an artist. But that is how we make ourselves better as well.

So 10 page minimum? im already at 5 pages.

10 Pages Max. Reason being is that the Judges will have to read every submission. If each person was making 50 to 100 page short novels, then it will make the Judges spending all their weekend just to judge them and not spend time with their loved one. :P

I have a music making program. Probably not as good as Equium's, lol. Oh well, I guess I'll just try my hand at art. I don't think I have the capacity to fit a story into just ten pages.

2. In the story? Well they should play a good part. Like if it's a story of you and your lover's vacation and they make a small cameo, then no. But if continual interaction occurs (like a sidekick or supporting character) then that is perfectly fine.

Ouch. I hate when that happens... I recomend making a list of what you remember at least. Then think on it some more. If that doesn't help wait awhile and see if it strikes you while you do other things.

If you still come up short... take what you have and try to go in a new direction.
